I had to put my golden retreiver down about 3 weeks ago due to renal failure. She was a awesome dog! 7 years old, she was a week or so from turning 8 when she was put to sleep. Her name was Annie.

And then that is checkers beside Annie. A 17 human year old siamese cat. I also have a tailess 16 year old calico

Then the 2nd to last friday in october I got a chocolate lab. "Lexi" she is 7 weeks

She has already taken 2 trips in my Xterra and im sure once she is older she will love the back window!

So sorry to hear about Annie. :-( The new hound is disgustingly cute, tho! Our hounds LOVE the Xterra - it's one of the reasons I wouldn't get anything else. X's are the perfect Dog Bus - if you don't mind slobber tracks all along the sides of your truck.

This is Juneau and Dexter,

Dexter Is known to most of you as the dog trying to run cats over one feline at a time

They are pretty much a handful but I love 'em

Is Dexter the black and white one? They're both super handsome. Dexter looks like t-r-o-u-b-l-e, tho, LOL! Is the more brown one a GSD / husky mix?

Yeah dexter is the b/w one he's trouble that's for sure. Juneau is a Siberian mix of some kind possibly timber wolf but we don't know for sure she was a rescue as a pup and they told us her mom was a sib and dad was a malamute but her temperament around people not in our family or "pack" says wolf but once you get to know her an she knows you she will act very Siberian like. Thanks they are a great pair

So when my cup holders and door handles fill up with crumbs and nasty stuff my puppy will clean them out! This is how she rides as I drive, I know its dangerous but she literally lays there and doesn't move unless we stop.

My Old pup. She is 16 years old. She likes to sit in the passenger seat. And although she is old, she can sit there and ride..
I do have to hold her when going around a hard corner, or braking.. she tends to fall often, so I have to hold her up. She has muscle lost in her back hips and legs, so standing in the X is a No-No

Does this count? He is furry, he is a friend and he likes riding in the Xterra. This guy lives in Memphis but I took this picture of him in Huntsville.

A former neighbor poisoned my last dog. I might get another pet sometime next year.

This is Toggle. We adopted him last week. He is a Schnauzer/Terrier. I haven't had a dog since I was a kid and My wife hasn't had a dog in 15 years.
We decided my 4 year old son needed a companion.

He looks mean, but it's only in pictures.

He rides great in the X and barks at anyone who gets near it.

This is my copilot, though she lives at my parents' house now because our apartment doesn't allow dogs. Her name is Katie. It's short for Katrina, because we got her two days before we evacuated for Katrina in '05. She's been hitting the road (and the bayous; she loves the boat!) with me ever since.

We currently have 15 dogs (this includes the 4 puppies that are only 3-4 weeks old). I've only taken a couple of the dogs in the Xterra though.

First off was Shasta. She's an Alaskan Malamute/Husky mix. She's only about two years old, and missing her tails. But her baby blue eyes make up for it.

Then came Flash. She's a Beagle/Basset Hound mix that just had the litter of puppies.

Now it's the newest little guy. His name is Diesel. Short for Dominic Diesel Toretto =D He's an American Pit Bull Terrier, we think. Everyone says he looks like Spuds McKenzie.

OK, ok, I'll post a pic of the other dogs. Hopefully I can get their butts in the truck sometime.
