Hello Xterranation,
I’ve owned my 2004 Nissan Xterra XE for a while now and I love the damn car, I’ve taken care of it like a baby and it’s never had any major issues until now.
Due to a purchase a year ago on bigger tires I’m running into an issue of my front tires rubbing on the back of the wheel well when I turn completely. It’s also painful to hear my tires bottoming out on large dips. My guess would be that it’s because the truck has a rake currently, either due to my stock shocks that might have to be replaced, or my torsion bar which I don’t know if I should tighten to supplement a bad shock if that’s the case.
My question is whether you guys recommend that I just tighten my torsion bar or upgrade my stocks in the front. I’m looking for the most reliable way of going about it without just dropping a grand or two buying a full lift kit.
Im a bit new to this community and I’m open to any tips or ideas that you guys might have, and feel free to correct me if I use any terms wrong. I’m just here to learn, explore, and share the passion for Xterras.
