    hmmm, i just turned 230k on my 07 4x4 xterra, any recommendations on maintenance on such high mileage? only things i had to replace so far was both front bearing hub assemblies, battery, installed smod modification around 50k.and i am ocd when it comes to maintaining my rides.

    Specifically, the timing chain shoes. Prior to 2010 they were made from an inferior material and basically wore out too fast. It's about a $1200 job to have the dealer do it. But the new shoes should last over 100k.

    just had a price on parts, was 461.00 i can do the work myself, im a diesel tech anyway. ill order it. comes with new sprockets, chains, tensioners. etc.. hate putting down the x for a long time. but what the hell.!!
