I'm needing to reindex my T Bars as well as take the rear sway bar off. I just have a common toolset; nothing great like a creeper, stands, etc. Everything is new to me, plus I'll be able to talk to some of you guys in person rather than being a screen name! I'll pay for lunch if anyone is willing to help me out.

We can use my garage if you want, it will be a bit of a drive to get it here, but you are more than welcome to come up.

Okay, so Columbus and/or Nashville is not that bad of a drive. I can push for 3.5 hours. I guess I should've researched first; sorry fellas.

Which one of you guys would be off sometime next week? My schedule is completely free until Jan. when I start up school again. Is there anywhere that would sell parts for a PML? Auto Zone, O'Reillys, etc?

don't buy anything from autozone for a pml. for the shackles, pretty much everyone either gets the ones from 4x4parts.com, or calmini.com I have the calmini shackles and the powdercoat came off pretty quickly, I like them though.

the PML is just shackles for the rear with a torsion crank in the front. a fully suspension lift would usually be a combo or shackles and add a leaf in the back with new upper control arms in the front designed for a 3" lift. the 2" body lift is just pucks and bolts. there is a how to on clubx for it, not sure if we have it here or not.

Yup, I have a 2.5 Rancho SL,with leaves, shackles, and new UCAs. The front, however, needs to be reindexed because of years of sag as well as the new front bumper being on; the back is maxed out. So with this being said, all I would need is just a reindexing of the front to complete my PML then?

do you have the rancho SL installed? A PML is just shackles in the rear with a front torsion bar crank, you have a full suspension lift. So if you re-index, you need to be sure you still have a 1/2"-3/4" gap between your UCA and upper bumpstop. If you already are there then your front is maxed out and even reindexing will not help.

Yes, the Rancho SL is already installed. I was told that the reason my first Gen sags in the front is because the TBars need to be reindexed? Then I've also been told that "It's a 1st gen, it's supposed to be like that".

you are supposed to have some rake, but you need to check your gap between you uca and your upper bumpstop. if you have more than 1/2"-3/4" then you can reindex and get more height out of the front. if you are already at that 1/2"-3/4" gap then your front end is maxed out and you cannot go any higher.

While I'm currently unavailable, I'll be back come June, and I live in Frankfort with a decent amount of tools, and a well stocked parent's garage in Lawrenceburg. I'll definitely lend a hand for your late spring/summer mods!
