Trading away Marshall for Rivers may have been my biggest mistake yet in this league. I had three solid WR1's and didn't put enough faith in Bortles.

Also putting more faith in Benjamin than he deserves is a mistake. I'm hoping he can turn it around, or Diggs and the Vikings get their sh!t together quick

My year was a disaster. Randall Cobb is nothing without a proper deep threat (see Jordy Nelson). Arian was my late round pick and obviously got hurt. AP has been steady. Russell Wilson (my 4th rounder) has recently shown up.

I think it was 2 months into the season when every "expert" was saying to trade away Peterson if you can, he's garbage, try to trade him off for Gurley before his stock drops, blah blah etc. etc. Granted, AP has had a few down games, but usually bounces back with a vengeance. I'm hoping he tees the fvck off on the Cardinals this Thursday, not only as an AP owner, but as a Vikings fan in general.

I'm a RDub fan, which makes me a Seashawks fan.

I went 10-0... and now I've lost the last 3 games in a row... 2 number 1 WRs, a number 1 RB, and a good QB getting hurt, and then some guys who were really good at one point just dropping off consistently in points (I'm looking at you Alshon Jeffery) has slowly chipped away at me to becoming a mediocre team now :( this has been the case with my ESPN team too... I had LaVeon Bell, Edelman, Romo, and Arian Foster at one point...

It was you I knocked off after your 10-0 start?! o_O

My team has been all over the place this season. Started sub .500, then went 5-1, or something crazy like that, and I've lost the past 2, moving me from 4th to 7th. Bull****.

Well, I started Dalton in my other league which cost me the win. Bortles was on the bench, laughing at me like he did on my Yahoo! bench before I had faith. Ugh

Ouch, I had a bye or had clinched in every league but two. One I'm out of it, the other I killed the other guy! Cam Newton is gonna win me at least two championships at this rate.

I have Cam in another league, too. I'm glad because I lost Charles, Foster, Chris Johnson, Hyde, and I don't know how many other players. I was forced to pick up Hightower and start him. That worked out OK.
Now the X league? Shrug ...

Considering I only made the consolation bracket last year in the X league, I'd say I did pretty good this year. 2nd overall, and it seems only fitting that Mac and I would be squaring off in the playoffs.

If he starts his bench this week, I might lose

Lol, my bench did kick ass last week.

I've seriously got a great "on paper" bench.

I'm gonna have to beat you with huge performances to move on.

But...but...if he starts his bench, they are no longer his bench? Thus it is impossible to start your bench...?

If he started his bench, while using the previous week as an example to draw from, you're correct in that it wouldn't be his bench.

It is possible to start your bench, replacing your current players and thereby creating a new bench as an "object". The bench in this case, is a group of players.

The bench is defined as the group of players that did not start. If you start those group of players...then logic must dictate that they are NOT the bench...thus the bench can't be started without altering the definition of the bench.

I watched a few Harvard philosophy lectures on YouTube...I am good with deep thoughts....

But, they were the bench at the start of the conversational path to a conclusion. So, if he had started the bench, based on the last week's performance of the bench, then he'd probably do good. The past bench, now the current roster, would therefore become null and void as "the past bench". Thus, the "former starting roster" would become the "current bench", thereby nullifying any association of the "last week's bench performance" as such.

Regardless, everyone knew what I meant, it's clearly an expression used among fantasy football players, and that's that.

I know what you meant...just having some fun since I didn't make the playoffs.

Lol, yeah. Drafting all players from your favorite teams doesn't work out well. My wife drafted all Broncos, Cowboys, and Packers.....

My friend does this with the Titans and Patriots:
Julian Edleman
James White (Waiver)
Delanie Walker
Kendall Wright

He usually goes for Tom Brady too. Most of those players carry his team in PPR.

I really try hard to not be a homer. I fell onto the Diggs bandwagon and stayed on it a week longer than I should have. I believed the hype about Bridgewater going into this year, which was a bust. The Minnesota defense is hit or miss, so no complaints there. And AP, is, well, AP. I'll stand by him.

It's easy to convince that you have the "insider Knowledge" or the genuine fan's edge, but most of the time it only clouds better judgement lol

in my other league last week:

me: we should sit Ted Ginn Jr...he drops so many balls and Atlanta has a good secondary per the Yahoo App...

my wife: ...but Cam always throws long balls to him...sit Calvin Johnson and put in Ted Ginn.

me: no we have to play Calvin Johnson, he's the best receiver we have

Results: Calvin Johnson 2.6 points. Ted Ginn Jr: 26.50 points.
