Look over the players on your roster and decide on between 0 and 3 players you'd like to keep.

Look at your roster here: http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/165634/lastseason

Keep in mind that those players will cost you draft positions according to these rules.

1. Each team can keep from 0-3 players from their previous end-of-season roster.

2. Players drafted in the first 3 rounds of a draft can not be kept in the following season. This prevents the top tier of players from being kept and creating massively unfair teams. Due to rule 4 below, the first 2 rounds technically couldn't be kept anyways.

3. A player can only be kept a maximum of 3 consecutive times. This is so that one team can’t pick up a future mega-star off waivers and then get to keep him throughout his entire career.

4. For each player that is kept, that manager must give up a draft pick 2 picks higher than where the player was initially drafted the year before. Example: Running Back Le'Veon Bell was drafted in the 12th round last year. If kept, this year he would account for the team's 10th round pick. If kept again, the following year he would be considered the 8th round pick.

5. Any player that went undrafted the previous year, but is being kept, will count as a team’s 3rd to last draft pick – This rule is there to slightly reward good drafting, as keeping free agent pickups are a little pricier than last round draft picks. Example: Odell Beckham Jr. was picked up off free agency last season by a team. This league has 16 rounds in its draft, and the manager wishes to keep Beckham, he must give up his 13th round pick the following season (as opposed to a player drafted in the 16th round, who would only count for the 14th pick).

6. If you do not have a draft pick for a round to give up to keep a player, you must give up the next higher pick – This might happen if you have 2 keepers that have the same draft status from the previous year. One tip to consider if you have 2 players vying for the same draft spot is to make sure the player most likely to be kept the next year is taken with the higher numbered pick. This makes his keeper “priceâ€￾ cheaper for the next draft. Example: You wish to keep two free agents that you picked up during last season. Because both of them would qualify for your 13th pick (in a 16 round draft), one must count as the 13th pick, but the other will have to be your 12th pick.

I will try and make sure to update the draft date and time as well as the keeper deadline once we get those figured out. I have to manually enter keeper designations into the draft so the earlier I can do that the better. Once they are in the draft operates very smoothly.

Pms have been sent to previous owners to give the opportunity to rejoin, and potential owners for the team currently available.

Please respond in some definitive fashion by August 15th or I will give your team away. With Keeper settings needing to be set I'll need time to get everyone's choices in my message to myself, and then into the system.

Thanks guys. I'll cross post this with the other fantasy football thread for anyone who is subscribed to that thread and hasn't found this one yet.

Alright today is the 12th and I gave a 15th deadline to people. I'm going to send out one more pm to the two I haven't heard from and then I'm going to have to find replacements.

If you'd like to play in this league then jump in the comments and say so, there's a chance we'll have an open position.

Pardon the n00b question...how many keepers do you get to pick? I logged into Yahoo and Joined the league but haven't quite determined my keepers yet...is there a limit?

I played on nfl.com last year so I am still browsing around to get my bearings situated...

DOHHH...I swear I read through it and didn't see it. My bad.

Edit: I see now...I stopped at post 2 where it said keepers enabled. Sorry about that!

I know I'm like a broken record by now, but if you want to play in this league, please be an active participant! I'm not saying you have to devote 3 hours a day to it, but at the very least check the league page a couple times a day to see if there are any trades proposed to you or things like that. Nothing is more infuriating than having a trade proposal with someone who doesn't even respond for a week or set their lineup for 4 weeks in a row.
