FS: Evil black rifle and Garmin 1490T GPS

You read that right. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm selling my lightly modified Smith & Wesson M&P15. All trigger and action parts are standard. Six position collapsible stock, pistol grip, hand guard with tactical rails, five 30-round magazines, and BUIS are all Magpul MOE gear.
Also included will be a Sightmark holographic sight, an el cheapo forward vertical grip, and tactical rifle bag. I also have all the original stock parts if interested. Asking $1000 as is, or $750 without the Magpul gear and holosight. I really don't want to ship, but maybe we can work something out. I will deliver to south Louisiana, southern Mississippi, the Mobile, AL area, or possibly as far as Houston for additional fuel costs.

I also have a Garmin Nuvi 1490T for sale, $100, or I will trade straight up for a 1390.

It'd be cheaper for me to pay shipping than pay gas to Jackson, MS. That's an 8hr drive for me.

Keep in mind the cost of paying FFL license holders their fees for shipping and receiving it. Actually, I have to check on that. I know an FFL holder has to take delivery of it, but I don't know if I have to get one to ship it.


Also, forgot to mention in my original post, if someone wants the rifle without the Sightmark, I'll keep the sight and knock $100 off.

Actually, USPS will ship rifles but UPS requires a notice and you have to drop it off at their hub to ship it via UPS. And Yes, FFL is always required for anything that crosses state lines, no matter what. And since you're shipping it across state lines, you will need FFL to ship it to another FFL to take delivery.

According to what my friend at the Post Office just told me, I can ship it myself, but only to an FFL holder. I don't need a FFL holder to do the shipping for me. A handgun would have to be shipped from an FFL holder to another FFLicensee, but not rifles or shotguns.

My FFL guy's shop burned down last month, so I don't even know if he can accept it. I just sent him an email to find out. His insurance company is giving him hell about his shop, even though it was ruled accidental.

I don't want to keep anyone from buying the rifle, but all of this is why I didn't want to deal with shipping it. I'd rather spend the money to ship on two tanks of gas to deliver it. But, I will work with anyone who wants it.

If its a new shop or people you need, On Target in M'borro can do it for you. We had a Kimber shipped down there.

Correct. You do not need an FFL to ship but DO need an FFL to receive. ALTHOUGH, some FFLs will not receive a shipment from a non-FFL shipper -- so make sure that if you want to buy, your FFL will take an non-FFL shipment.

Sorry you have to sell your gun, but you do what you have to do. I'd buy it but I'm four lowers into build I have yet to finish. Good luck!

Whats the reason in selling the Garmin?

I'm selling the Garmin because I want a 1390. The 1490 is too big to properly fit in the dock and it squeaks and rattles when the lid is closed because of the parts I took out to make it fit. The 1390 has all the same features in a little bit smaller package. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it; I just want the smaller one.

Definitely less than $12. Should be able to fit everything into a small flat rate box for $5.35, but if not, medium flat rate is $11.35.
