Well since I have been waiting since July. Why don't I post this up here since it is in the X now that it has arrived.

This is the product, if I am not mistaken.

I really don't want to sound like a snob, but I know it will come out like that. Anyways, I am coming to you as an amateur knife maker and seasoned knife enthusiast, I would recommend against buying united cutlery products. I really don't want to put down your new purchase, but united cutlery has a history of under-engineering their products, as well as poor quality control. That said, whether this axe is right for you depends entirely on how you plan on using it. Just be careful when using it heavily, and know that if an axe fails catastrophically during use, it is very dangerous for the operator.

Anyways, I hope I didn't ruin it for you. You can still have fun with it, just be safe.

That's it. It isn't for use. If I were going to use an axe, of course it would be a 'real' axe.

It's just in there for show. Makes people start talking about the whole vehicle.

Yeah, it definitely matches the color scheme well. It can certainly be a great conversation starter.

So in all honesty I would love to drop that 351w in the X. As wicked as that would be. I would be making the xterra less... Nissan...

And as you know with it being SAS it already has a beginning of being less.

That would be a perfect time to take the rack off and bedline the roof. :hihi:........

Went through your build thread and love it. That is why I like xterras better than all the look alike jeeps. When xterras are decked out they get very unique.

What are those green things you used for the head lights? So cool. What tire size are you rolling?

I call shenanigans!

Ford > Chebby

The only reason people use Chebby 350s for engine swaps is because they're typically cheaper.

The Ford is a MUCH better engine.

The lights are HID projectors. The green that you see is the shroud cover. Prime did a build on it. Well worth checking out if you are curious about them. Also I am running 305/70r16 tires. Nearly 33s

Chevrolet engines are just more commonly done. I want to be totally different and I understand the Ford a bit better. Besides if I do Ford, then someone else can do Chevy.

Slight update since I had said something about it in the "What have you done for your X" thread. I packed this little monster of a radio into the hole below the radio.

The heatsink hanging off the rear of it is massive and made it a little tough to fit in there.

Repaired air locker. Finally.

Was a much needed fix. I've been rolling some time just open diff. Hope to keep it operational until after WENTwindrock. I want to be able to creep along with everyone else.

Just cruised through the entire thread, incredible build man.

Thanks! It's still miles away from what I want it to be. I'm also the worst about taking pictures.

Otherwise it would be plenty more detailed.

*Update to the lack of posting about the Xterra.

So the oil pressure has dropped to a maximum of 50 PSI on the X cold or hot. I'm only 1300 miles away from my normal 3k oil change and this thing still makes no noise (other than that one previously mentioned).

At idle it has around 10 psi on a manual gauge. Well below spec.

I'm looking into my options heavily now.

I'm also still kicking the V8 idea around in my head. So no hope is lost... yet...

Your oil pressure sounds fine to me.. factory service manual says 9psi at idle when the engine is at normal operating temp and 60-65 at 2000 rpm

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Xterra/2002_Xterra/lc.pdf , go to sheet 21

I have 40ish at 2000 and 50ish at 3400. I'm still concerned because it was higher in the past. I believe the relief valve is sticking or the spring has weakened.

So some slightly good news.

I have tracked down a donor engine, trans and transfer case in a complete running truck.

It is a 1991 Ford F150 with a 5.0L 5 speed that is slightly modified so I can keep all my pedals intact inside the X, and due to the fact I dislike automatic transmissions.

Now just to purchase the truck and get the engine cross member I need.

This may be done before WENT, and if funds provide, I'll try to make it for at least a Friday and Saturday of it.

I should update this shouldn't I?

Moved from 5.0 Ford to 4.6L Ford. Mainly due to tune abilities and well... who wouldn't want a 5.0L coyote engine later down the road?

Started small with the truck harness.

What I was left with.

There are two plugs missing from the loose end of the harness. The rest of it ties into the X somewhere depending on what the ECM wants to see)

I am going to keep cruise control and all other things that the X already had.

This thing is going to be a monster to pack down into where the VG33 sits.
