It is an event held at Rausch Creek off-road park in Tremont PA and run by NEXTerra. It runs from July 16-July 18. Trails vary from green (easiest) to black (hardest).

It is a great way to meet new people who are xterra enthusiasts and a great way to get in the community. Check out the NEXTerra link in my sig or ask if you have further questions.

its held at the best offroad park in the northeast united states. Its pretty huge with tons of different terrain and obstacles. they have a rock course and all kinds of stuff. SnoborderX (I think that's his name) came up from north Carolina for a run in January and he loved it. I believe he is coming back up for ECXC

LOL

Maybe you should wear a carnation or something?

:lolz:

Right now, I have to get back to working on my rig....the weather's been waaay too uncooperative this year. I started a timing belt change, and my arthritis locked up in the middle of it...so, I'm dead in the water for now.

Can't wait to go to this. Definitely making a weekend out of it.

It starts during the week, and ends on SATURDAY, so , most people just drive home on Sunday....instead of wheeling again. I personally wheel Sunday too, because the park is a great place to wheel, and, on Sunday, its still there.

If going for JUST the weekend, make sure that on Saturday, you network around who ELSE wants to wheel Sunday...because otherwise, come Sunday AM, no one knows to find you/when to meet at the park, what trails to run, etc....and you end up trying to ask a bunch of people hung over from Saturday night's festivities if they saw so and so/know if anyone was wheeling, etc.

Another thing that can be fun if you've never been there is Centralia...sometimes a group heads there on Sunday to check it out....its that town that had an underground coal fire, and, melted from the bottom and disappeared. There are sunken areas of the road/ground that have smoke and/or fire coming out...etc, so, its kinda cool to wheel through. Its not on maps (anymore), so you need to hook up with a group who knows how to get there, and, how to get in (They bulldozed the entrances shut to keep people from accidentally driving into it....)

Yeah, this was my favorite park; it's the same as Windrock for me, but it's not as spread out as Windrock is, so there's no 15-30 minute drive to the trail head, it's pretty much ready to go. I'm looking forward to going through the Rocky River Shortcut this time around!
