Is it common for Xterra 2003 to drive a little off , with the balloon tires and all... I aired up all four to 35 lbs and the steering wheel still off a little. If I hold the wheel even and straight the car will drift right .. I have to hold it to the left a little.. alignment?

$89 is not bad for an alignment, as long as they do good work. I have never worked on a first gen, just our second gens, but in my experience a DIY alignment that comes really close to spec is entirely possible and won't cost you anything except some time. I just watched some youtube videos to learn from and was able to do mine with nothing but a nice flat parking area, some jack stands, a ruler, some string, and my eyeballs.

What would I have to do to tweek it a bit to the left?

Shorten the right tie rod and lengthen the left the same amount. Start with two full turns on each should move you I. The right direction. Be sure to tighten the sleeves back before you test drive it. You could jerk the threads out of the sleeves if you drive it with them loose.
