All this down time and steel lying around I get random ideas lol.
All this in a 10x20 portable garage and half a one car garage.

This is just frame that I was started to practice my TIG welding but turned into that will be cool and different

So I'm about to start cutting into my X and give up on this 2wd crap. I got my rear window and found a leak. Bad output seal.

And I found out my bushings are needing to be replaced both front and rear. And also my brakes need to replaced soon too.
So time to find some money and guess it's time to SAS it.

Have you thought about getting a 4x4 X and swapping all the mods over? I don't know your financials but I would think that could be your cheaper option. I'm sure you've thought about it but I just figured I would throw my .2 in lol. I had a 2wd 1st gen and knew I would never be able to afford to convert it so I traded in and got a 05 4x4. My car note wasn't too far off from the 1st gen.

Well my X is paid off and isn't worth much cause the high milage. And also I'm attached to this one. It's also 600-800 a month for 60 - 800 new 4x4 the way I wanted it. And also I would have to get a bigger suv instead to fit two kids me and the wife and her parents if we go places. So it's easier to get the smaller loan to do the swap. And that's what has been done.

I'm stoked for this!!! Is it gay to say I'm in love with your truck?

no homo.. I think it's ok to say those things now lol

I have to keep up with you... you're thread is dangerous

What color are you going to paint the axles and whatnot? My vote is white... black is overdone

Thanks I like to go down the less traveled path.

Axles will be done in white and black like the truck is.

So today's update front wheels are on and coils are built. She is on her own weight up front. No pics tonight will get some tomorrow. I just have some adjusting to do of wheels to make sure they are straight cause right now she is quite a bit off.

So quick update on here for ya guys. Took "The Beast" on test drive today, steering issues seemed to solved. Tracks good for no alignment and I am able to go lock to lock, so I am happy with that part. Still have some problems, I have brake leak at the calipers so I am ordering new banjos bolts and crush washers to see if thats the problem. Next I still have the drivetrain vibration, so I gotta check my rear axle angle and the transfer case location.

So the X is on its way to it's new home in CO. Sad to see it leave but it's going to a good home.
