So since it is winter and I havent been in the garage wrenching as much, I needed to find something new to burn up time. I recently started watching various food youtube channels and stumbled across Bon Appetit's youtube channel. I went to their website and started looking at recipes. Here is where things took a turn. While they have a ton of very good looking meals, they're also typically very complicated. Im a sh!t cook so I wasn't going to attempt those. I then found this. https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/added-value-grilled-cheese

I went to the store, bought everything I needed and took a pass at it! Holy hell is it amazing. 10/10 would make again and it is super easy 10-15 minutes. I overcooked the bread, but even then it was almost perfect to how I like it. C12B4158-563E-4709-9654-F7705A68B718.jpeg

Go the extra step and make home made mayo then make the grilled cheese.

I'll agree on the mayo. At first I thought it was dumb, my whole life the only real grilled cheese is on buttered toast. But then my daughter made one like shown above and I had to admit I was wrong. I think she used sauteed onions instead of the jalapenos listed. Still, best grilled cheese I've ever had.

i forgot about the mayo trick. I usually melt butter in the pan then throw the sandwich in. I'm going to have to try this grilled cheese out - sounds delish.

My problem is that even if this is good. I have to buy mayonnaise. For one purpose. And I don't know thst it's worth it.
