Has anyone ever tried to put a projectors in the fog light assembly? Or seen it?

I know theres projector fog lights by morimoto but thats umm 2 bills. And you'd have to replace the full thing once it burns out.
So my thoughts are why not put a projector with some led bulbs. Much cheaper to replace in my mind.

Any thoughts or ideas. Not trying to do hids tho since its a shrockworks bumper so dont wana have deal with rattling or ballasts bouncing and going out.
Only reason i wana do the projector is cause i wana do the retrofit headlights since i have spare time. Thanks for the input.

1. Where did you order your headlights?
2. Im trying to see if theres an alternative to the morimoto leds, you see how you have the extra shroud and projector on the turn signal in the headlight. I wana do something like that to the fog light assembly if possible.

The ones I bought are here;

They are LED and when I purchased they were running a promo and I got for $175. IMO not bad for good LED fogs with a warranty.

If breaking down to make projector, use factory. The best person to talk to on that is @Prime . If it can be done, he knows how and what to use. He did his headlights as well as the pro4x roof boobs if memory serves.

It's a pain in the ass. Haha.

Look at www.theretrofitsource.com

I buy all of my headlight retro parts from them. They might have some small enough for the fog lights. But honestly you'll probably spend almost as much money. And one you factor in cost for your time the Morimoto's are probably cheaper.

Considering most good LEDs have a MTBF of about 250k hours, I wouldn't worry about them going out. Regular halogens are usually 8-10k hours MTBF.
