After canceling my cross continent road trip this summer, I was getting antsy and had too much money burning a hole in my pocket so I went and blew it all on another car. Still love my X, but good lord is this thing a monster.
1JZ-GTE with a cold air intake and custom exhaust making almost 300 horsepower. Rear Wheel drive and factory 5 speed manual transmission. 100k miles and the interior is in mint condition. Aside from a few blemishes, it looks like it just rolled out of the factory. It was a one owner car from Japan with complete service records (though I can't read them). The sound of this 1JZ is to die for. I really have no plans for this car, aside from some minor restorations. Wheels need repaired, its going to get a professional detailing and paint correction, followed by a ceramic coating. Also needs a new radio and speakers since it has some crappy Japanese aftermarket head in it and the speakers are 25 years old. Before I bought it, I actually had an illusion that I would save money on gas in the long run compared to my 14mpg, but not with this thing's fuel economy and the fact it requires ethanol free premium gas. Still, could not be happier.
