Component speakers with factory wiring

Searched high and low on this site and others, but couldn't find an answer. Maybe I'm an idiot.

2011 Xterra S, base audio, aftermarket radio and amp already installed (not that it really matters but just in case), replacing front door and dash speakers with Kicker components: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20647KSS69/Kicker-47KSS6904.html

The plan is to mount the tweeters in the dash, where the factory ones are currently located. We know the factory system/wiring is for a 4-channel setup, so the dash speakers are run off of the front channels, confirmed by the diagram in the service manual:

The question is, where are the M8/D2 and M75/D101 connectors located? This would seem to be the optimal place to wire in the crossovers, and avoid the need to fish new wires from the dash corners into the doors, or cutting & splicing them in a different location. The "custom instructions" Crutchfield provides do not provide any useful information on this, and the service manual does not indicate where these connectors are located. The Youtube videos I've seen are all basic guides on removing door trim and using a screwdriver, which I'm already familiar with.

That is simply the connector for the wiring harness going to the door. There's certainly more oonstin it than those two. If you want to locate the crossover in the dash, your best bet is to follow the wires from the tweeters back to
where they intersect with the door speaker wires and do the split there. Otherwise you can put the crossovers at the amp under the seat and run new wires to the tweeters.

I ended up doing it the usual way and putting the crossovers in the doors, with new wires run to the dash for the tweeters. The only part that was difficult was feeding the wires through the door grommets alongside the existing wiring, even though I was hoping that in-wall speaker wire might make it easier (it didn't). I also found out that doing the driver's side is a lot easier than the passenger side, since there's no HVAC box in the way.
