Morbius, was it great? No. Was it bad? No. Definitely did not deserve to be thrown through the ringer.

Couple gripes;

1) The nightcrawler treatment on teleporting and moving for living vampires.

2) Sony, thinking too far outside of the box and making a "new" villian is why everyone hates your movies. You tinker too much.

3) the end cut scenes are stupid and don't make much sense. Why does the Vulture remember and why is he cool with it? No concerns about his wife and daughter or where the hell they are? Come on. If they make Morbius a part of sinister 6 I'm going to be pissed.

As for good things;

1) The CGI look for morbius was pretty good IMO. Leto actually did better acting than what people are giving him credit for.

2) Timewise, on the shorter end for MCU movies. A 2.5+ hour movie is not always a good thing.

3) ...yea I'm running out of things.

Yeah. This is nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be.

Its certainly MILES ahead of the Carnage movie.

Could it have been better? Yes.

I did think that Jared Leto did a good job. He immediately walked into the proper anti-hero role. Very much the same way that Morbius was in the Avengers. Granted the Morbius lineage was the absolute villains in the Spider-Verse series. But that's comic books for you.

The character issues in the movie stem from Sony being locked in a sandbox of characters they have license for. If they had access to MCU characters, this could have been a very different and better movie.

Tyrese Gibson as an FBI agent was a bit of a reach.

Doctor Who as a villain? Meh.

I agree here. Was not good. Was not the worst, but lets be honest, Morbius should have been an easy story to tell.

1-Teleport was stupid. 100%
2-Totally agree with you. but that was clear. Morbius is now in the Sinister6. Like, uhm why
3-ufck a Tyrese. That guy sucked so bad in this its unreal. I kept expecting him to yell EJECTO SEATO, CUZ!
4-So many story gaps. "Hey doc, come with us, we THINK you MIGHT have done something on a ship in international waters, even though we really cant place you on that ship in any way. Leto-COVER BLOWN, LETS VAMP OUT AND ATTACK! (uhm, why?)
5-So did he vamp when he did get blood or when he didnt? i mean im in prison, and im fine. Then blood is delivered BOOM BITCH IM OUTTIE 5000!

look. dont take this wong BUT:

if im crippled and my best friend in life is crippled and we suffered our whole life, WE BOTH GONNA BE ufckIN VAMPIRES. he suffered too! shiat give it to him and lets ufckin run this bitch together. i mean, you already are using bat DNA in your projects, what you now suddenly have morals? GTFO.

Why is the female doc alive and a vampire exactly? Was this movie a set up for her movie next?

I thought Leto was phenomenal with what he had to work with. But i like the guy as an actor.

So I just watched the last three episodes of Clone Wars season 7 mixed with Revenge of the Sith with the kids and IT WAS AWESOME! 3.5 hrs of Star Wars, and totally worth it.

We did S7E09 last night, that’s when RotS comes in. Tonight we started with the first hour of RotS, then Clone Wars S7E10 and S11, finished RotS, and wrapped up with S7E12. That sequence rarely brings the whole prequel trilogy together, IMO. And the kids kept saying “this is the best Start Wars we’ve watched yet.” They were riveted the entire time. So FUN!

I’ve see watched the whole cinematic universe about 3 times now (and the kids have been through all the movies a couple times now), but this was the first time I stitched this sequence together. Man, that’s some good story writing by the Clone Wars crew.

@scoyoc, where did you stop watching RotS and go back to Clone Wars? A particular scene?

I found a crazy scene-by-scene sequence on Reddit and distilled it down to an episode-by-episode sequence for smoother watching.

Here is the Excel spreadsheet in my Google Drive. Anyone with the link should be able to get it. Let me know if it doesn't work.

I had no idea that Christian Bale was the bad guy. And I was absolutely floored by that in the first 2 minutes of the movie. ufck that was good. The first Thor movie was good. The second was terrible. The 3rd and 4th have been ufcking gold. The common thread is pretty obvious.

I'll watch this thing over and over.

I've been home for an hour now. Can't sleep.

The silhouettes of Galactus keep popping in my head. They're barreling towards The World Eater and The Secret Wars so fast. And I'm here for it. Taika Watitti needs to make more of these movies. Not just the Thor ones. ufck. That was amazing.

I really liked the Dr Strange movie. I did. It had Bruce Campbell and a zombie. Quintessential Rami movie. Was great.

But.

This was better. In ways I can't quantify.

I'm exhausted. Need to be asleep right now. It was that good.

EXACTLY

it was SO good. I will see that again. Were their issues? Sure. Was it enjoyable? ufck yeah. That opening scene where thor goes all THOR on them was amazing. THAT is what I want in a Marvel movie. Entertain me, dont push agendas.

Absolutely loved it from start to finish. And I hated what they have done with Thor previously.

Christian Bale should win an award for that performance. He was absolutely amazing.

I literally yelled that out loud.

ufckIN GALACTUS!

So so good.

Okay one thing. In this movie, Korg says "his two dads" (and then meets Dwyane "The Rock" which i thought was amazing) who made a baby. In Ragnarok he says "Me Mum and her Boyfriend". Wonder why the change.

Went and saw Thor again. I must have been ufcking wasted for the last 30 minutes. Good thing the theater is walking distance from the house. My walking distance anyways.

A lot of that was new to me. Granted, I had to go pee during the part where he blesses the kids. So that was for sure new.

Still much enjoy. Will. Watch many more times. Will also listen to lots of G&R in the next few days.

And when I went to pee during the first watch I missed the whole plot point of him unleashing Galactus. That Galactus was the thing locked away at the center of the universe.

I think I know the one thing this movie was missing.

We needed to see The gobble Butcher at work. We needed to have more of a reason to fear him when he attacked Asgard. As far as we knew, he was just angry Batman.
He has a HUGE part in the current comics earth 616. Major connections to obviously Thor but then venom as well. I wish there was more screen time for him too and open for further story telling. But I loved it.

I figured I'd put this here.

She Hulk. 1st episode. Honestly my only detraction was the 4th wall breaks. I felt they were unnecessary. They could have told the same story without them and it would feel as demeaning to the viewer. If they had just let the story organically progress instead of the "cut to two months earlier" trope, it wouldn't have felt as insulting.

That aside, I enjoyed it. Had some laughs, some fun at the canon, and it looks like it'll shape up.

My glaring thing is I feel like I should have known the dude on trial, but I didn't.

"I was a COMPLETELY different person back then."

No shiat. You were Ed Norton.

Hear me out. Ed Norton could have been MCU Bruce Banner. Ed Norton personified what we knew and understood of Bruce Banner. Little frail guy, soft spoken, absolutely did not want to be in the mix with anyone. It was The Narrator and Tyler Durden all over again. He could have been that in Ragnarok. He could have been that in Endgame.

Now that Mark Ruffalo has been Hulk for 10 years, it's hard to see it another way. But kudos to the MCU for playing that card and bringing Tim Roth back into the fold.

Episode 2 was underwhelming, not because it wasnt good but because literally nothing happened, it was all set up no event. It should have been episode 2.1 or an hour long show with you know something actually happening!

Is it a hot take that Carol Danvers was a contributing factor in the radicalization of Ronin? If she hadn't whooped his ass in defense of the Skrulls while wearing what looked like a Nova Core Uniform.......

The fact that Far From Home leads within seconds into No Way Home means that Chang Chi, Eternals, and Black Widow are irrelevant. Right?

Phase what?

That said, I like Chang Chi. Will watch again. But the other two??
