Told you civil war was coming. Without the X-Men it's going to be hollow. And it's good to see that the Infinity Gauntlet story is coming too.

I think marvel will use the inhumans as their mutants. Or pull some rabbit out their hat and get the x-men back

Hooray!

So. AoU rant.

First, I enjoyed the movie for what it was. I knew going in that they couldn't keep to the original story. And that they'd have to cut a LOT out.

That being said.... There were only three things that held to mythology.

1) Ultron. Created to protect earth. Unfortunately, his intelligence deemed that the planet itself was more worthwhile than its inhabitants.

2) Vision was built by Ultron.

3) All of the characters are valid Avengers characters.

Other than that, the entire plot was made up for the movie.

Obviously, without Hank Pym (who actually built Ultron) they had to change that. And there was a story line that had Wolverine and Kitty Pride going back in time on Dr Doom's time platform to kill Pym before Ultron was created. That was out.

Jarvis was not the basis of Vision's intelligence. He was his own sentient android, built by Ultron who decided that this MFer was evil and to join the Avengers to help defeat him. Vision does not have an Infinity Stone on his head.

If I remember correctly from the comic books Vision's mind is made up of Wonder Man's brainwaves? I think they used the infinity stone to bring him to life so they wouldn't have to introduce a new character just to have him "die" and have his brainwaves put into Vision. Isn't that a reason why he falls in love with Scarlet Witch?
I wish they could have used wolverines story line but since fox owns them it's not possible.
The thing that bothered me the most about the film was SW's power set. I feel like they made her into a telepath with telekinesis.
I also heard that when the movie is released on bluray it will have a directors cut that is 3 hours or something like that.
Also I've come to realise that the Avengers movies are transition movies into the following movies so I'm not expecting them to be the best of the best. IMO Winter Soldier and GOTG are the best marvel movies to date, but there hasn't been a movie that I've hated. Iron Man 3 was their worst one yet tho.
Oh and Spader made a great Ultron. His dry humor was great.

Spader definitely did a good job. Like I said, I really enjoyed the movie for what it was. And yeah, the Avengers movies are bridge films to cover the primary plot lines.

Okay, so half of the mcu is dead, but oddly no one in the Ant Man movie was affected. Or maybe it takes place before Infiniti War.

Either way, WTF is captain marvel going to do? She going to give Thanos a spanking? The real notion is to get the time stone and undo that crap.

Yes. Supposedly the upcoming ant-man movie happens before infinity war.

As for what is captain marvel going to do, who knows? I was never really a fan. I am hoping they use the opportunity to use some of characters bought from Fox. Especially Silver Surfer since he had a part in the comics infinity war and can put up a fight with Thanos.

I assume that time stone, Thanos will use it trying to save Gamora and revert everything back

So I'm going back and reading the Infinity Saga since its been about 15 years.

So as I'm remembering all these details, a few things strike me.

It's funny how some scenes were lifted DIRECTLY from the comics. Directly. Hulk crashing into Dr Strange's house? That was pretty much verbatim. But instead of Hulk it was Silver Surfer.

Also, I found how the things get fixed. I took some screenies on my tablet that I'll upload in the next post. It's actually quite ingenious. Though in the books, Dr Strange survives The Snap so we'll see how they play that out.

The one thing that really hit me reading the books again, is HOLY shiat WHERE THE ufck IS ADAM WARLOCK!?!

He was vaguely referred to in one of the stingers for GoG maybe? But I found that he won't be a part of Avengers 4, but will show up in GoG 3, after this whole Snap business is resolved.

Here we see a dejected Nebula yank The Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos and put it on her own hand.

And here she rolls the entire universe back 24 hours to before The Snap.

Okay I rewatched civil war because I was drunk half way through. I don’t remember any of the movie after the airport battle. Infinity war makes so much more sense now in places.

Marisa Aunt May could get it tho

Deadpool 2.

Much enjoyed. Though I did find it lacking plot. Same issue I had with John Wick. The first movie has purpose. It had drive.

This one felt like a movie that was looking for the plot the entire time.

That said, it was hilarious. I thought Cable was good. The scene in the mansion where everybody was hiding from Deadpool was ufcking great. And if course, the stinger was on point.

Exactly. No plot, felt like a forced collection of one liners. Didnt much care for the redo of Domino, and I ufcking hated fat amy in Pitch Perfect, why would I like fat amy as a fat ambiguously brown kid villain. Hard pass. Juggernaut was pretty cool, as was the traffic battle and final scene. Got tired of watching him die for a long ass time and some of the jokes felt copied from part one. Dunno, I laughed pretty hard, but It wasnt nearly as magical as part one IMO.

EDIT: Also felt too SJW themed.
