I need some clarification. Is this "what apple do you just grab off a tree and eat", or more of a general apple preference poll? I tend to go across the entire spectrum depending on mood and what I am doing with it. Just eating, usually something on the sweeter side (although a nice fresh tart crab-apple is wonderful). Baking, I tend to go more towards the tart side. Over the past year, I have probably eaten at least one of 90% of the options on that poll in some form or another, and did not regret the decision.

Honeycrisp. Dipped in crunchy peanut butter. Not possible to beat that.

Northern Spy is the best baking apple, but for eating raw I'd go with the smallest U of M variety I can find - https://mnhardy.umn.edu/varieties/fruit/apples/all-apple-varieties - they're the ones that developed Honeycrisp which is, of course, a great apple but it's kinda big. It's a lot easier to eat an entire SweeTango although I haven't seen those sold near me so I pick 'em up when I'm in MN.
