So I have a 2002 x with front end damage and my bumper does not line up correctly. Also, I do not have the funds to drop couple hundred on a cool looking aftermarket.
I was thinking maybe i could just trim up my oe bumper and make it look aggressive and just deal with it
OR
I could try to fab up my own custom bumper while repairing some of the damage

If you know how to fab, I'd consider welding one, but consider the costs of all the consumables. (I'm not a fabricator so no idea).

Thanks for the feedback and I’m not a fab guy at all but I do have a harbor freight welder and with some practice, I’m sure that’s all I’ll need

Hi Guys, love the forums! I need a high clearance front bumper for my 2003 X. I found a kit up in BC but was hoping something closer. I'm in South Eastern Virginia.
My sympathies. I grew up in Hampton Roads.

1st Gen options for non diy, Shrockworks, ARB, RLC WeldFab, and there's one other that I can't recall at the moment.

Shrock is definitely the best construction, ARB is thinner and lighter, and the RLC (which I had on my 1st Gen a decade ago) is the most attractive, but I wished it was a bit beefier.
