This is the next thing on the truck after the swap is done. I don't have a tailpipe anymore. It broke off when I was in Moab this year. And when I crawled under there it still says Nissan on the muffler. So that's stock.

What I'd like to do is just buy a good muffler, take it to a custom shop and have them redo the tailpipe so that it doesn't stick below the bumper. All of the full catback solutions I've found have a fancy tip that is designed to be below the bumper. That ufcks w/ my departure angle. So. No.

What are you guys doing on exhaust? I don't need it loud. I just need it new.

I was going to just order a Borla XS 2.5" Center-in/Center-out and just take it somewhere.

This?

Looks decent. And a driveway install.

Who has pics of the final install?

Let me know if you want specific angles. Only minor hiccup is the driver side pipe runs slightly closer to the fuel tank. Still enough clearance, but I had to grind down the transfer case skid to accommodate the slight difference. Otherwise it was close enough to rattle crazy loud.

I paid about $570 via ebay. @xterraography I think paid about the same from Amazon. He just did his a few weeks before I ordered.

I like that. Does exactly what I want. How does it sound?

My only concern is where that tailpipe is with my body lift. Because it looks like it's perfect with the stock body height. I'd like to be able to get the tailpipe to go up a bit higher, but there are no provisions in bending the pipe. hrmm....

Definitely louder but I think it’s good. Whisper quiet and no different than stock if coasting at low RPM. Nice kinda growl. A little bit of drone around 2k but on the highway it only hits that range when passing somebody.

Here’s a straight on image. Sits just at the top of the leaf pack on a stock shackle.

Hrmm. That's a concern with the body lift. As my entire shackle is exposed at the back, the entire tailpipe will be exposed.

I’m a little confused about this. The bumper is mounted to the frame, not the body. So shouldn’t the view from the back be exactly the same even with a body lift? Or maybe I’m missing something or not visualizing correctly.

Yes. The bumper is mounted to the frame. However, the bumper moves up with the body in the event of a body lift. There are notches and holes for the body lift that move the bumper up so it still lines up with body and corner panels. That way you really can't tell there's a body lift.

I have that AFE hi tuck. Easy install for me, you notice it’s there, especially off road, under throttle at low speeds. But I like it as it’s up out of the way and I don’t have to worry about it getting caught up on anything.64A29D8C-7AFE-4C7F-9243-6E9DD2B92E0E.jpeg
