So before we start, I'm an idiot and i should have known better. Anyways. I forgot i had too much water in my cooling system last week. Antifreeze is expensive and im cheap, as well as a dumb ass. Long story short, frozen solid. I tried starting it b4 i realized it was frozen and well...........You know where i'm going with this. when i realized what was happening i rushed out in the darkening frozen driveway and removed the rad hoses and cleared the slush. I put the hoses back on ans used warmish water from my tea kettle 140 degrees to flush the radiator and block as best as i could. i refilled with 50/50 and began praying.

Prayer must've been heard by the car gobbles because there is no apparent mixing of oil and coolant. all fluids look fine but it wont start at all. Where should I start in diagnosis and repair? The motor has 160k, but there is a worsening oil leak from the front of the engine. It runs strong but i think the timing chain is clacking. I suspect it jumped time when the water frozen water pump tried to engage. I have all the tools i need just need a little direction with trouble shooting. Its my daily driver and an essential tool for my job. Side note i have a "3.3 from a gen 1" sitting around that i just acquired.

**Does anyone have a 2.4 KA transverse mounted motor lying around. 99Altima has a blown head gasket, looking for a drop in not a builder

Whelp it jumped time. Confirmed by Prime. Thankful to have the second 3.3. Guess I will get that one on the stand and begin going through it. Any tip/tricks or things to check before i put it in? Prime gave me tons of info just wanted to have it in writing. Should I do a write up or? build log?
