Awesome! That would be a huge help. Thanks man!
Pulled the compressor out tonight. Hooked up the solenoids and decided to bench test it.
Trying to figure out mounting this damn compressor. This idea came to mind.
Any other ideas?
No, you a comedian? Do not mount it in there.
Put it in your engine bay or the rear of the truck. It gets hot and needs fresh air.
^^ this. it gets very hot when airing up.
Mine is mounted under my drivers seat. Works out well there on a 2nd gen, not sure if there is room there on first gens.
YES I WAS JOKING.
.....it did fit in there though and close.... anyway
Ordered this nice 3 gang switch plate from Amazon. Cut about 1/4 in off here and would you look at that. Like it was meant to be
Got her all set up for the next phase removal of the 3rd member. If it wasn't so hot and humid she would have been apart tonight
So after lots of baning over the past weekend and into Monday we got that damn 3rd member out!
Man that was A PITA!
It took a Bosch electric hammer, a screwdriver, 3 wedges, and a BFH to get the sucker undone. Never been open since the factory floor.
Got my flat pitman arm in yesterday! So that's going to be the next battle with this truck!
Got that handy dandy 1 5/8 socket as well!
(Hand for refrence)
We are still waiting for the 3rd member to return from the shop. Hopefully this week so she'll be back on all 4 wheels again.
Found a deal on a ruggid rocks transmission cross member. Prob the last of its kind!
Also got my flat pitman arm. Just the issue of getting that bolt off remains
I'm hoping to have her roqd worthy and registered by mid Oct.
Next is my front driveshaft bump stops and finally some trimming
Well hopefully grabbing my 3rd member this week to get her back rolling.
In other news I just got some parts to upgrade the master cylinder. 1998 doge ram MC. Should bolt right up. Ill do a write up with removing the ABS box and hooking this all up. Thanks to Luke and Zack for the idea and part numbers
Sucker was HEAVY to lift in but we are back reassembled!
I started to disassemble the abs as well today.
Ram MC going in tomorrow along with all my diff oils. She will be back driving tomorrow
So... Rausch next weekend?
Lol if my punch list was half the size I could have
Abs is removed. Ram 1500 MC installed. 3rd member reinstalled with fluid. She moves again!
Well as I was mounting my compressor and routing wires. I pulled apart my dash and realized how horrible my wiring was.....
So I tore into the interior.
So far I ripped out 3 dead cb antenna wires. And a box full of dead or horrible wiring
