Well good news is I found that darn missing Ujoint. Dropped the axle shafts off at my mechanic this morning and got them back with some fresh spicer u joints in them. Another thing checked off the list
Yep spring under is the plan. most likely this summer. Plates came off her today actually and all my events are canceled until at lest sept. so I might try and knock this thing out this summer
Well. Decided to bring her up front today. Wanted to get more done but I realized my skid bolts were now flush and my sawzall was at work.
Well, just dropped some serious dough.... In route! -Shocks -Shock hoops -U-bolts -Ubolt plates -Steering Kit
One that every time he needs it he cant find it. So he buys another and then thats lost within 24 hours lol. On a separate note here. I went at her with a grinder today. Didn't look back
***** Those plates from Ruffstuff DO NOT WORK with a SUA leaf Waggy axle. The Pumpkin sits too far over and is almost on the spring. The bracket is too wide to work>**********************
So. I though I royalty Fudged up i got the ubolts and got the axle mounted up and the weight of the truck on the springs. And guess what didn't clear the oil pan Though I had to pull it all out and start from scratch again. But for some reason I got board and started looking up the specs for the 44054 springs. I found out that the centerpin is offset! Flipped those bad boys around and I pray it clears the pan
5.13 for the rear are on their way! ARB for the rear. Are our options really only RR, Nisstec, and 4x4 parts? I got one hub assembled today!
The post you all have been waiting for! As much as I really want to just post when it is all done, I like progress photos. Unloaded off the trailer Some progress
Now the issue. We are currently thinking of a remedy. When the back end is on a hill and weight is shifted to the front driver. I got some steering issues I ordered a flat pitman arm to see if it will fix the issue
Nice man! If you don't mind me asking, what was your total cost on this? This is exactly what I want to eventually do to mine. I've decided to forgo doing the IFS lift In favor of SAS down the road (for durability/simplicity's sake in the long run). I'll have to go back and re-read the whole thread so I can get a list of parts together.
Looking good! Is there room to move the steering box forward if the new pitman arm doesn't do the trick? Looks like there might be enough but it's tight.
So far out of pocket im only at 1300..... Keep in mind with that number its with all the parts I sold. So In reality my spread sheet says 2800. Ill be posting that up once the build is complete. It has total amounts
