I dont know if one is better, but the first one is red/charcoal. I dont even know what other brands and prices are out there.

Eno, I have had mine for quite some time, I have been in rain, snow, high winds, sleet, icing.. and it still looks and feels brand new. I love it, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I have the ENO Doublenest. If your a larger full figured type guy or you have the possiblity of sharing it with someone close. I'd definitly recommend the double over the single. I think the single is more of a backpacking hammock designed to pack small and weigh little. Even the thinner type people have enjoyed wrapping themselves in the extra fabric of my double to block out the sun. Quality is supurb, packs to the size of a grapefruit so its very portable. The biggest issue is straps. You can buy the over priced ENO ones, use appropriatly size rope, I just use a couple cam straps to get the right fit between trees.

Ebay was the cheapest place to get them new when I was looking last fall.

I'm not sure about the second one, but I also have an ENO and love it. The weight rating is the same 400lbs for both double and single, and the both pack to about the same size and weight.

I got the Trek Light ropes for my ENO,

They came with carabiners and a cool little pouch for storage.

I also got the bug net from Trek Light.

I have an ENO and love it, i would say get the doublenest no matter what but that's just me. Either way you'll love a hammock!

I realize this thread is a bit old....but i just came across it. There are many hammock options out there. But i've always come back to my trusty ENO. I've been a hammock camper for close to 6 years and it's never failed me once. I have a singlenest that i take backpacking with me....and i have the doublenest i set up if a special lady wants to snuggle:luv:

I have to get on my laptop tonight and see if i still have the links saved for this one brand of hammocks. They look pretty sweet. They are tip proof, bug repellant, zips up on both sides and a few other details. I'll find the link tonight and post it up as well.

Those jungle hammocks are very nice but a bit more expensive than ENO. I would get one though if I got to do a lot of backpacking
