Anyone tried the new Bud light platinum?

Yep, drinking one now... I rather enjoy it... more then regular bud light... but its really hard to find... every store around here gets it in and it sells out right away... I bought a 12pack at noon on a tuesday because it was the only time i could find it lol

You know what I miss? Dixie beer. Used to drink it all the time when I lived in Texas. I checked with my local liquor stores they never heard of it. Did Katrina knock that brewery out of business?

yep, tastes like Bud Light w/ a little bit of a tang. it'll get ya drunk quick though if you are not watching it. usually, when drinking good beer, you drink it slow because it tastes good and you know it's strong. BLP is deceptive. It doesn't taste strong at all. but 6% will catch up to you quickly if you are drinking it like a regular beer. sells out pretty much everywhere here in STL. it's a pretty big hit.

The only notable brew in the fridge right now is a Heady Topper from The Alchemist. I've never had it before, but I've heard great things, and it rates a 100 on Beeradvocate. Otherwise, I've just got a few leftovers from a Sam Adams winter sampler...2 Old Fezziwig ales and a Chocolate Bock.

Nope, they're still around. My local grocer carries them. I had a brew of theirs recently, Dixie Voodoo Black Lager. Didn't really like it. Anyway, their website is down at the moment; here's their Facebook page.

One of my spring / summer faves. Imported from Scotland Belhaven Twisted Thistle.

I'm like the hugest fan of Capital brewery beer. Drank a few bottles of the Hop cream ale last night. Perfect sharp hops with a smooth cream like finish. My fridge is loaded with more then a few cases of different capital selections all of them have been phenominal.

My favorite fall beer tends to be the Rogue hazelnut. Perfect nut brown ale. The even the scent of the beer is enough to make others envious.
