    Great!

Just make sure we know what your screen name will be in the clan, so we don't accidentally reject you! (We get a few requests to join a day typically...we reject them if we don't see something about an xterra or in this thread.

I'm sorta anti-online-guide, so give me some time to build.

I think I'm going to have to bow out. I never remember to grab my old phone to play and it's not available on my current potato. Feel free to kick me when Faux can join or if someone has a spare account to join with.

Don't you just have to log in to the old account?

    In any case, no problem.

I still have the account, but because I no longer carry a device that can play the game, it makes it hard to remember to log in.

It DOES take some practice to figure out to attack a base so as to take down their TH.

They are all different, and your troops, also have, um, a mind of their own. :)

There are some things that tend to help. If you click their castle, you can see at least how many troops are in it, and, the circle that activates them to come OUT and fight.

Same with any royals or towers, etc....you can see their range as a circle around them...so, you want to ideally, for example, have your archers take out stuff from just outside the D's range, etc.

If you lure the castle troops out of the base, and kill them all before continuing, it avoids them hacking YOUR guys up IN the base.

If you look at a base and it seems there are gaps that probably have traps, etc...send 1 low value troop in to blow it, not ALL your giants, etc.

Look at what D is covering the TH, and if there's a place you could be that allows you to kill the TH, but NOT be in range of their D, that's a good spot to try to get to. If taking out some KEY D would make that work, then, plan on taking out the covering fire first, THEN move troops to the take down. Giants for example go after D specifically, but archers and barbs for example will make you crazy attacking builders huts, while the enemy is shooting at THEM. The giant will IGNORE their TH until ALL the D is gone, so, giants can make a path free of cover fire, but, you need to follow them in like troops behind an infantry tank, etc...with troops that WILL attack non-D targets.

The early bases have the least air defenses, towers mostly, or low level AD, etc...archers or wiz in their castle, etc. If you can get a maxed dragon in YOUR castle for example, and release it after your troops taken out the base's AD, that thing will eat the entire base typically all by itself. Even borrowing a castle full of minions will quickly overwhelm the typically canon/mortar based D's....just make sure the archers and wiz towers are neutralized first.

If you drop a spell, aim of the lightening is critical...and for the others, make sure you put the circle so it covers everything you want attacked, not dropped ON your attackers on their WAY TO the area of interest.

    And so forth.

The biggest thing is to participate so you do get experience in war. In my opinion it is different than just doing a raid all the details is compacted into a more concentrated area to make it more effective. I find that if attacking a base that already has been attached watching the replay helps out immensely because you can see what strategy works and what doesn't. Also you can see what they have in their castle so you can better prepare for them.

Hi guys I wanted to make a few comments on our clan attack strategy. It seems that we get beat more than we win. We tend to keep a pretty even star count with our opponent but it requires more attacks for us to do it. At the end of the battle we see a surge of opponent attacks that ultimately results in a loss for us.

I am putting a few ideas out there to make us more effective as a group:

    1. On your first attack, pick an opponent that you feel strongly that you can three-star. We need more 3 stars on our first attacks. If you need to pick an easier opponent, then do it.

    2. Where ever possible, let your team mates ranked lower than you attack first. In doing this we should be racking up stars from the bottom of their ranks upward. Remember that getting a star from their #20 guy is much easier than getting a star from their #10 guy. So lets work bottom up.

    3. Again whereever possible, let everyone do their first attacks before doing your second. This allows us to use out attacks most effectively.

Ideally, if we follow the above steps, we should see 3 and 2 star attacks in round 1. Having 0 and 1 star attacks for the first round really hurts us. If you are i positions 17, 18, 19 and 20 and are getting zero or one star for your first attack, be sure to read TJTJ's tips below and also make sure you get something really strong in your clan castle.

    Comments?

I'm in 19 I knew that I could 3 star agains their 20. So, that was my firs attack. My second attack came as quick as I could train and make potions. I hit their 19 who had already been unsuccessfully attacked. I only managed one star on that one.

Just as long as you try that is all that really matters. Your will have more success the farther along you get in the game.

We have 19 now. The wars go by 5's so since we have less than 20 the top 15 trophy holders participate

Yeah, if we drop one guy, from 20, for the war, we have to use 15....and 4 guys have to sit out, or maybe load muskets (Castles) while the rest fight, etc.

Sorry guys had some weird combo of the flu/bronchitis/cold. I survived though and just in time for midterms yay.....Not

I thought Luke had lost control of that account or was that a different one.

Last time I sat out of a war I couldn't do anything but watch.

OK, we have 20 again, but, 15 for this war.

    Welcome back Sir!

(Luke fought in our last war against Cpt Dan's...so, he was active)

The loading is for the village castles, not the war base castles....the guys sitting out can only do village stuff, but not base stuff.

The village castle troops are what the base goes to war with though, for attacks.

Might of been a click of the wrong button when they booted him out. Not sure if a Super user will be able to reverse that

From what I read he has to be invited back by an elder. I don't know if this is true or not.

I say if you miss 2 wars that you are active for(you can now choose to be left out of war), you're out.

Agree. Or at the least just let us know if you can't make it. Hell, even if we are in the middle of war and you can't use an attack let us know so we can attack accordingly.

Can xterror still not rejoin? What if he were to create/join another clan and we found him by searching for said clan and then invited him that way?
