Anyone vinyl wrap?

I am hoping someone has vinyl wrapped their 2nd gen before. I have a family member who can supply with the wrap at cost. I just need to know how much I need and I have no clue how to figure that out.

Has anyone vinyl wrapped their 2nd gen before? If you did - do you know how much you needed?

(I will be doing all the same color, only things I am not doing are the trim pieces, the whole hood, and the roof)

Thanks!

Just as I hit submit I realized that even someone who has wrapped their 1st gen could help, I know the 2nd gens are wider (and longer? not sure) but still the surface area can't be all that different.

I havent, but would like to. I assume you are doing it to protect from pinstriping and other trail nasties. When you say "same color" do you mean the material is clear or that it is colored and matches your trucks current color?

The purpose cover several things:
- Covers up the scratches
- "hides" the dents and dings
- yes, to protect from future pinstriping
- and I mean, to look freaging awesome

A sensible man would go with the original color right?
No, we have wheeled together - you know I am not a sensible man, hahaha!

I am getting a pattern across the whole truck - just leaving my red accents and blacked out trim parts.
The wrap will all the same design, thats what I mean by same color. I wont have different color pieces, it will all be one design in several pieces.

....or you might want to PM Luke (Xterror04). He has a good portion of his X wrappded and I believe he works with vinyl and might be able to give you an idea.

So now I am going to go sit in the corner. I should have done that from the start, could have messaged him on the bookface.

Luke, if you read this, opps.

I'd like to know the answer when you find out. I've been trying to convince the wife to let me either paint or wrap her titan. Granted, it is a full sized truck (4 door) but overall, compared to a 2nd gen, I would bet the surface area isn't all that far off.
