Anyone Run A Badland (hf) 12,000 Lb Winch With Shrockworks Bumper?

Hey Gang,

I was gifted a winch recently but it was for an ATV application, so I'm going to be upgrading the poundage. My budget is Harbor Freight. I was looking at the Badland 12k with the synthetic line, but then looked on the Shrockworks site and they say 9,500 max for the bumper. Has anyone squeezed a 12k in there? If so, any mods required?

I know the Smitty xrc9500 gen2 was a squeeze and needed to be cracked open and re-clocked to gain access to the controls. I believe @TerryD had to do the same with a Warn 10k.

Cool. Wondering the difference in Shrock sizes from first- to second-gen too, if there is that much of a difference. Mine's an '02. Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure about the First Gen but I have the Warn Zeon 10S in my 2nd. I had to remote mount the controls and clock the clutch end so I could get at it without laying down.
