Anyone done dual transfer cases?

I've never heard of it done to date. I've heard of loading an "Atlas" in a 1st gen years ago using an adapter but have never seen it in person. I think RR sells them.


Although I would love to put a twin stick in mine, I can't really justify the cost.



That said I think a truck would have to have a solid axle up front as the torque on a locked, low gear climb would not be received well by our IFS. Mine seldom made it locked with "low range reduction gears" (3.7-1). Just the theory of an admitted amateur, but I believe that if the axles, ball joints and hubs somehow survived it would twist the LCA like a pretzel...like I said, just theory.

Ya I am looking at doing a dana 44 swap when I can find the parts. This would be done at the same time as a sas since both involve custom drive shafts and it just wouldn't make since to make them twice. I suppose I might look in to adapting to a different transfer case that has the same yoke as a dana 44.
