OK, somebody tell me how to get to the upper seatbelt anchor on the B pillar? I can get the cover popped loose, but I can't get it far enough away from the inside of the pillar to get to the bolts that attach it to the body. Logic tells me there is something I don't know, or some easy trick to getting to those bolts. Someone please enlighten me!

Reason I'm asking is because the lower anchors on my '01 are all rusty and the belts are nasty and gross. I have a parts truck that has decent belts in it, and the lower anchors are in good, unrusty shape. I want to swap them, but I have to figure out how to remove them first!

So the uppers on the B-pillar should just be a matter of getting the cover off and then using a torx bit to remove the bolt.

If memory serves, you pop the top of the cover of the belt anchor from the top and then it drops off the bottom side.

OK, so that idea was a bust. For some reason, Nissan changed the seatbelt mechanism between the 2001 and 2002 model years. The wiring plug-in on my 2001 is a short bit of wiring that plugs into a mated connector on the lower B-pillar. On the 2002, the vehicle harness plug directly into the seatbelt retractor mechanism. Not interchangeable. That was a lot of work for nothing. Oh well, live and learn.
