Well, here's a quick thread to invite anyone who cares to join.
The river is a free place to wheel, has plenty of fun trails, challenges exist for rigs from the easiest to the toughest, and most advantageously, there are multiple routes up most every obstacle. Currently there's water running, and it's actually fairly fun wheel there, so long as someone that knows the holes can run with you, OR, as long as you have someone that is running at least 35's to ease into crossings to make sure that you aren't about to do something that would require a snorkel.
The only thing you need to play is a texas OHV sticker, which, prices range depending on where you're purchasing it. Last year, nobody charged more than the state charged for it, this year, there are a few places charging considerably more. One shop is charging $18 each, the other charging $20 each, and the state's price is only $16.
If you're considering getting one, your best bet is to call 512-389-8917 and have them mail one out to you. The advantage is that you get them at the correct cost instead of a shop's inflated pricing because "they have to deal with the crap of people coming in for them" (and that's a direct quote from the sales guy a the place charging $20 for them here in town).
As far as the when....
I'd love to go wheel anytime, obviously though, my work schedule limits when I can.
For March, I'm free every Sunday except the 25th, and I actually have the first weekend (3rd & 4th) off, and could try to plan out a bit of wheeling adventure for anyone able to join.
If you're wanting to come play, post up and we'll get it worked out....if you have questions, please, post them, I'd love to get together with others and go wheel, it's a blast!
The two things that **I** require people have are
anyway, hopefully some of ya'll are interested....
