I really like that. I had KCs in basically the same spot on my old JK. They were the pencil beam spot light deal, but it was great because you could reach out the window and point your drivers side one wherever.

I was thinking about leaving them kinda loose todo the same thing, but when your strapped into the seat you can't reach them, since you have to fight the mirror.

Nice! awesome someone finally did this. I've seen maybe one or two others but glad more are popping up. I personally like that position for lights. Only downside I'm guessing is no snorkel, now.

Did you have to do any reinforcement on the metal? I've always thought about doing something like this similar to patrol cars but I've always wanted a snork too. Looks awesome though!

The good thing is I think I can still run a snorkel, since the lights are really on the door and not the Apillars.

As for reinforcing plates.... Kinda that spot in the door is actually really thick, so the only thing I did was add fender washers to the inside to help dispersed the weight. The lights are also really light weight so they don't distort or flex the metal of the door.

My primary concern, at least for the wheeling around here, is that there are times I need to fold the mirrors to clear obstacles/trees, etc, and, these lights would be right in harm's way, etc.

If the mount was forward/inboard of the pillar edge, more like the way they go on a wrangler, etc...so the sides stay flush/out of the way, it might be a lot better.
