I recently seen a new 6 inch lift available through rough country for the 05-15 frontiers. I emailed them to find out if it will work on the xterra platform as well. So far they responded back and said they haven't tested on the xterra yet. If anyone has more info on this would be great. I have the 2.5 lift now but the 6 inch will def have my attention. Thanks.

That kind of lift is definitely a drop bracket lift. What it does is bring the entire front axle down away from the frame so that the suspension geometry doesn't really change but you sit higher.

Pro: Drop bracket lifts are cheap. And effective at giving you taller ride height and better tire clearance.

Con: Either no improvement or possible loss of actual ground clearance. Since the entire axle has simply been pushed away from the frame the cross member is no higher from the ground. Also, since a majority of the kits out there still utilize the stock control arms, there's usually zero improvement in travel of the front.

    All that being said,

A proper Titan swap can get you almost 5" of lift, increased ground clearance, upgraded components to better stand up to the larger tires, and improved travel. It costs a lot more, but....

Of course the short answer to your question is, yes. If it fits a Fronty, it'll fit an X.

The frames are a bit different, but the driveline is identical.

    Nice. Welcome to XN.

Have a look at some of the Titan swap builds. If you wanna go big, it's the right way to do it.

Not to mention that you would have to match the 6" in the rear with custom leafs. ,$$$$

True I was just looking at more lift options and such. My X looks good as it is so far. Plus reading all the forums on the mod's most people have done are amazing. So much to do. I'll stick with bumpers and more exterior mods first.
