Hey all,
So i was looking, and i realized that i really like the 2005 Xterra seats. They looke cleaner and better than my first gen ones. So i was wondering, has anyone seen or done a seat swap like this? If so, how hard would it be?

I'm guessing it would be a bish. Nothing really swaps over between gens, and I know the corbeaus I put in my gen 1 would not have worked in my gen2. You can always probably fab something, but 1) the gen2 seats are wider and may not fit at all, and 2) there's probably better after market options

Old thread, but for those searching.... I pulled the seats out of a 2004.

removed the cushion (4 bolts on the bottom of the seat pan).

Then pulled a 2005 seat and removed that lower cushion as well.

Swapped the backs over on the 2005 to the 2004 bottom frame (4 bolts hold the top and bottom together)

I now have 2005 with flat fold passenger seats in my 2004.

all you have to do is swap the bottom frames out. The seat cushion metal pans are identical. It is the actual sliding rails that changed.

I did this for my purpose of putting them into a 2000 Frontier.

You should also be able to use early to mid 2000's Altima and Maxima seats using a similar conversion method.

my suggestion spend a day at a junkyard and test fit there prior to purchase. Most yards have xterra, altima, pathfiders, frontiers, maxima on their lots.

1st gen seats > 2nd gen seats.

Also, if you want leather I've learned that you should recover what you have with new foam.
