2nd Gen Rear Bumper Corner With Step Onto 1st Gen???

I apologize if this was covered someplace else. I did a forum search and looked through all the DIY mod list and didn't see anything about this, but my question is, can you swap a set of 2nd Gen rear bumper corners with the built in steps onto a 1st Gen X? I see there are after market steel corners with steps, but I kind of want the stock look for these.

From a quick glance they look like the same body lines in that area, but I could be wrong.

Underneath the plastic I think there's a metal support step so you will want to add that too.

I think the 2nd Gens are quite a bit larger than the 1st.

You might be able to get a couple of the steps (they pop out) and put them in your corner pieces. But like mentioned above, you'll want to add the brave under them.
