Just hooked up with this forum in the last few days, was looking at a 2011 Xterra Pro X4 with a few miles on it. 155,000 to be exact. Was definitely a lease turn in, my guess from my inspection & test drive, the previous owner was a person very much like my wife (who leased an 07 & 11) , that put very easy miles on it. Drives super tight & engine is really smooth. Shifts great, 4x4 system works great pulled the trigger today & should be driving it by the end of the week. At very least: 3" lift & BFG AT's asap, looking forward to the great information I know is in this forum.

I'll post up pics as soon as I take ownership, really just a stock white Pro X4, with leather interior I might add, I hope to start my "mini build " nothing crazy, as soon as possible. Adding a 3" lift(rear coils& coil over 's to the front on my FJ made a huge difference in ride way better than stock), hope for the same with the X, only need a nice weekend trail truck as stated, really happy with the purchase . I'll be tapping you all for information shortly, pics to follow

Welcome aboard and congrats. If service history is available on it, go over with a fine tooth comb. If not, visually inspect or have your trustworthy mechanic do so. With that mileage, timing and components are not always forgiving. Be sure to check and replace as needed.

Starting with but not limited to... Spark Plugs, Engine Mounts, any and all fluids (highly recommend the PMF or Poor Man's Flush of the transmission)

Not sure if there is a how to on PMF here, but I know where there is one..... (TNX)

I did a diy trans flush on the FJ, the fluid cost an arm and a leg & only the Toyota dealership sold it. I'm assuming the Xterra is the same

In your Xterra I assume. At the time the only information that I had was factory fluid only. Anyway, just picked up the 4X, runs great, very happy & confident with this truck. Feels tight & solid. Time to start shopping for lift & BFG A/T's...Let the games begin

Moab, I'd kill to go there sometime, totally different wheeling experience than here in the woods of North East Pa., I'll bet some who wheel out there wish they could wheel here too. It's all relative I guess

UH..... NOPE!! :D
I have no desire to head east into the land of "humidity, skeeters, and 'have to have permission'" to go wheeling. I've got more than enough to keep me occupied for a long time out here. ;)
