Glad to have you over here too! Lots of good info here and I really think you'll be happy with the Xterra. Especially the P4X.

Took it out for a quick drive around mount hood yeasterday to get a good feel for it , shocks and struts are going to be needed soon along with the clutch but other than that it’s a fantastic driving rig . C1C8765C-8A2F-4805-B01E-EE4DDC883D37.jpeg

Been busy with work so no real work has been done to it other than polishing up the headlights and redoing the stitching on the shifter knob . I’m going to have to redo it because I used canvas thread and it’s a little to thick so it’s not laying down into the leather and just feels weird on the hand when shifting A656097C-D131-4AF6-95F8-8113102E5400.jpeg 5BA8FA17-BF45-4D39-8EA0-24FF8AF8E7FF.jpeg A24F8D6F-E158-4654-9D3A-3B6B6919169D.jpeg

Took the Xterra out for a little drive to go see some fall colors around mt hood the back way , Really in love with the way this thing drives the power is so effortless and rolling through the six gears is just a joy. I'm glad you're happy with it! The Xterra is one of the better balanced vehicles I've owned as far as capability, power, and functionality go. The IFS and leaf spring rear were huge selling points IMO.

And as a plus getting 19mpg on my drive up and around mt hood is nice .

Haven’t seen any service records for a tuneup or anything so I need to throw that on the list of to do’s.

After doing some measuring and brainstorming I think I’m gonna go ahead and build a front bumper instead of building a winch plate to fit behind the factory bumper. Be a lot easier for me

Got out for a nice little drive with the fiancé , drive up the Washington side of the Columbia River gorge then down the historic Barlow road . Really need to get around to putting some new struts and shocks on it but still waiting for my lift to be shipped . The rain is a bit rough at this point because it nearly bottoms out when I hit bumps . 7AA29424-3051-4566-B6B7-3000F8990B10.jpeg

Thanks man hopefully as soon as I finish selling off the rest the parts on my jeep project I’ll start getting a little more done on the xterra . Made myself a promise no more car parts till I payed off all my debts , almost there just need to pay off the last little bit of the fiancé ring then I can place a big ol order at summit racing , tires , t chain , shocks , struts etc etc

I swapped to marine terminals. I had to drill out the hole in the fusible link and crimp an eye on the ground cable but they've been rock solid.

That’s how it should look from the factory . I’m sure it’ll go up another half inch or so when I replace the struts. Definitely rides 1000 times better not banging off the bump stops every time I hit a bump in the road 805D28D7-9578-48D9-B22D-67B9739FCA27.jpeg 4D30AF37-500E-42A5-8857-7A3E7394D549.jpeg

I know Everybody keep saying they won’t fit without a Lot more lift but at this price I couldn’t pass it up. I’m not afraid of tubbing fender wells out so we’ll see how this goes. EBB5AC25-8CCB-4DE6-B0AD-98962CA1A5E5.png

Make sure to check those every few months or so, I put one on my negative terminal and its loosened itself (I'm guessing the material is slowly stretching?) about every 3 months. At the rate it's going maybe another year and I'll have to replace it.

They've been there about a year now and no issues as of yet. They were the heavy duty ones from Autozone though.

Got 3 of my tires today ( 4th one coming out of Cali) scored when I stopped by a tire shop to have 1 mounted on my spare wheel to test fit things and the guy happened to have a set of 16x8 with a +25 offset wheels for 200$ .... score !!

    Initial impressions
With the right offset and the tire being a little skinnier than most 315s things are lining up fairly well in the front they clear all the suspension and frame under steering lock , I will need to take about 2” out of the wheel well to clear and some melting of the fender liner but so far it all looks good .
In the rear I will need to remove some of the bumper , notch the frame at a angle |_\ and replate it and maybe need a 1/4” wheel spacer and some longer bumpstops .

great thing is the tire and wheel combo comes in at 85lbs .

so I do have some work ahead of me but so far everything seems to be lining up where I thought it would be .

I guess I should Take some pictures of the actual tire LOL. Tread should work great for my needs general trail riding and deep snow. The extra size when air down will really help to smooth out the ride and leave me a nice wide footprint to grab fresh powder.

Next step is building the Fender support and tabs for holding up the wheel well liner , welding in all the holes , fixing the damage to the fender from the previous owner , paint and some edge trim to cover up the cuts ...... then on to the rear .

Needs a little more trim here and there and maybe move the rear axle forward a 1/2” but it’s street drivable for now 9712614D-972D-4622-A2D6-AF28E3F06853.jpeg 77244A08-E8CB-45F7-984E-39C5FD7CC84D.jpeg

Initial impressions of the dick Cepek trail country EXP 315/75r16
For being a aggressive AT these things are quiet , small amount of road noise but no annoying droning or MT type whomp whomp whomp noise .
Turning seems no different and with the light tire and wheel combo acceleration seems almost the same , I can still accelerate from 55 in 6th with no issues and driving up the hill to my house is still effortless in 3rd .
It hopefully might snow and freezing rain tonight so I can hopefully give a update on that .

Took it up in the snow, did very well till I got into about 4 feet of snow but I was only aired down to 18 did way better down at 12psi but next time I will probably go to 10. Thankfully a SAS yoda came by and broke trail the rest of the way so we didn’t have to backtrack 15 miles . 3FC5CE64-434C-4F92-AA9C-8C53786BD369.jpeg 0D3C9F3B-15B2-49E2-9EB7-37BDEEF022C8.jpeg 28AFC781-CE5F-4A00-A0B1-2634643D02B0.jpeg
