Hey all, was wondering what exhaust systems you all are running on your first GEN Xterra‘s. I need to replace mine, probably from the axle back at least, and was wondering if there are any Bolt on kits that sound a little louder than stock, but not horrible.

Looking good! I bought the Magnaflow and hated it. loud, raspy and droned. If I had it to do again, I'd buy the Gibson

Thanks for that input. That actually helps a lot, I have a retired guide dog, and a current guide dog that often ride in the backseat of this vehicle, and I definitely would like to avoid loud and Droney. That’s currently how it is, and it’s driving me crazy.

Z1 offroad has an exhaust comparison for Frontiers on utube. Search for Z1 Frontier Exhaust Shootout. Several good options including Nissmo, Banks, Gibson, Magnaflow etc. I learned a lot from it. Banks had the most power increase, but Nissmo was w/o drone and comes in stainless steel. Their top pick was MBRP.

Thank you for the recommendation, I will definitely look into them.
