Thanks Jesse. In looking into some PIAAs, but they're pricey. Also, looking into LEDs mainly because of less power drain. I'll get back to you on the link.

I've only had them for 2 months, but New England is a good test for lights lol. The body is solid and has no condensation build up inside, not blow outs, the only real complaint is the bolts rust very fast (may be from the salt around here, but buying new bolts can solve that)

That's awesome man! I'll look into those more. Definitely next on my list (besides a winch). The bumper is a bit too bland at this point for me.

Hey guys, hope everyone had a great Christmas. My girlfriend bought me a toolset and tool carrier. It made me immediately want to start modding so i painted my rims, gripped up my ladder, painted the front bar black (instead of red), and fixed my Gobi Wind Deflector.

Here's the ladder mod I did. For anyone who's curious, it's about 7 inches for each step. I did 6.5 with this being the result.

I love your Xterra. I also have a Super Black '04 SE/SC so I definitely use yours as inspiration for what I want to do to mine. I plan on painting all the plastics with Monstaliner or something similar to get all blacked out. Unfortunately I don't have the money for a steel bumper yet but maybe in the summer. At first I wasn't sure what I thought about the blacked out SC rims but the more I see them the more they're growing on me. Fortunately I came across Desert Runner wheels with 33's that I'll get in February and I haven't decided if I want to black those out. Maybe I'll plasti dip them first to see, and if it sucked I can just peal it off. I digress, I have some questions about your sweet rig!

Do you like the rancho suspension lift? I wanna do that or the Calmini one, but would love some feedback before I pull the trigger.
Did you darken the tail lights? It's hard to tell in the pics, and if you did, how do you like it?
How's your MPG's with the 33's? It's already a tad low with the SC, and I'm not sure how bad the bigger tires will affect it.

-Hey man, thanks for the kind compliments. This has all happened within 3 months. :)
-NismoFire has Desert Runners on her Black X and I believe is dipped as well (could be wrong).
-My lights are darkened; good eye. I like them, but I wish I kept it stock honestly. It looks "cheap" IMO.
-Yes, I have a Rancho 2.5 SL. I haven't had any problems with mine! I've heard some 'iffy things with Calmini, but some people on here beg to differ.
-Man... My SC is 13 MPG and the wheels aren't helping at all. For about 2.5-3 hours of driving on the highway, runs about 100 bucks (HAVE to have Premium Gas because of the Supercharger).

For a list of all the mods, check out the mod list listed in the beginning of the thread. :)

You sir, are awesome for finding that build and linking it for me. I definitely liked the blacked out Desert Runners and plan on doing that now (the wife agrees as well so that's good). I like the side by side comparison shot of the tail lights and appreciate the honest feedback, I was worried if I did it and didn't like the result that I'd be screwed. Luckily premium gas isn't too expensive down here but I am averaging about the same as you so I'll expect it to go down with 33's. That's awesome you like the Rancho lift, I've heard mixed things with the Calmini set up as well. On 4x4parts, they have either a Bilstein or Rancho articulating lift and I think that's the route I'll go. Alas, all down the road when I get more funds.

Again though, sweet rig and I'm definitely looking forward to your build thread and it's progress.

Not a HUGE update, but I bought myself a Craven Stubby antennae. It was only twenty bucks. :)

Looks better than the wobbly fencing stick of an antennae.

Nice, I'd like to get one eventually too. That stock antenna looks like crap...at least mine does, lol.

Sent using highly technical equipment involving satelites and space and nerds.....lots of nerds...

You clearly have not noticed how I replaced my factory with a CB.....about 13" taller....It bends pretty good in the wind though

Gobi is sending me my sunroof insert as well as my Stealth Toolbox. Should be here tomorrow.

However, I don't know when to install because of this weather. Might have to use my dad's garage.

Oh, I want a crazy antennae(s)... You have no idea...

11 Ft Whips are fun to drive around with. I have these neat little tie down screws on the rack too, so I can tuck it down when I want. Whips are a trend around here with Rednecks...this is like one of the ONLY fads I jumped onto. I just think they look cool, lol.

I used to have dual whips but I couldn't park in the garage......I still have to take my antenna off to get in the garage though haha

Should be back by the end of May. Gonna take a couple of weeks to get reoriented, then the wife and I are planning on rolling up to Nova Scotia. I should definitely be able to fit in some wrench turning time before then!

You wouldn't happen to be planning on selling that rack anytime soon would ya?? ;)

I'd drive up to KY and take it off your hands for you haha
