On the forum that shall not be names I saw a post about adding in a dual-port USB gizmo and thought "Why not 2?" I ordered them off of Amazon and took the dash apart.

While I was in there swapping out my radio I knocked out the upper blank and quickly figured out how to remove the lower port as well. As someone noted on the other site the Gen 2 dash curves don't lend themselves to this operation but I figured I could make some type of spacer with a curve to fit the dash.

After trying Styrofoam (waste of time) I went in search of some PVC scraps. No scraps to be found, but Lowes had a 20' piece of 1" diameter, thin-wall PVC into which the charging port fit perfectly. The 20' piece was just over $4 out the door with my military discount so home it went.

Here is a picture of the spacer for the upper port. The lower one was deeper and more curved, but both were crafted using my Harbor Freight belt/disk sander.

Here is a shot of them together to show the orientation:

Here is a shot of them all snugged up:

I have since cleaned up the sharpie marks (isopropyl alcohol works great) so it looks clean now. I'm still working on the wiring, waiting on stuff from Amazon so I can have a disconnect. If anyone is in San Antonio and needs 19 3/4' of 1" diameter, thin-walled PVC come on by. . .
