I have a 2010 Pro4X Xterra. It didn't pass the emissions test. I checked the scan tool code P0420. The Xterra is running great. I've seen on you tube that you can use Stainless Steel 02 O2 Oxygen Sensor Extension Spacer CEL Fix - M18x1.5. Has anyone done that to their Xterra? I changed out the Bank 1 Sensor 1 03 sensor. The code showed P1148 for the bank 1 sensor 1 02 sensor. But still getting the P0420 code. But no other code

Yeah, that’s a CAT code. I used the extensions on my first gen when I added long tube headers. The long tubes delete the front CATs. The extensions move the 02 sensor out of the exhaust path so they don’t throw the code. They worked for passing emissions on my Gen 1. But, if for some reason they look under the truck and see them I assume they would fail you.
