So… I experimented with taking off my front sway bar after watching this. Bottom line, I gained 2.5” of up-travel. Here were the measurements (taken from the fender to the hub): - W/ sway bar: compressed 19.75”; sitting 21”; droop 24.25”. Total travel = 4.5” -No swaybar: compressed 17.25”...

Sounds like 36-38 is probably about right then. I’d probably chalk test them anyway at those pressures just to preview the wear pattern and choose the right pressure for your needs. 2 lbs can make a difference.

I‘m into my second beer, so I feel like I can weigh in on this thread… Recommend doing the ‘chalk test‘ on your tires to find optimum pressure for them. Like Prime said, it should be around 35 lbs—that’s generally what I run on my Coop STT Pros, but different tires may disperse pressure...

Can‘t help one bit with your question, but putting a Datsun cab on an Xterra is pretty cool! Kind of brings the Nissan back to it’s Datsun roots. Hopefully someone with more expertise will weigh in…

Got a 3/4” tear in the CV boot... it’s enough to throw grease. Should I just let it ride, change the boot, or change the whole CV? I have OME CVs, so I rather keep the CV than exchange it with one made of cheaper steel.

Changed the parking brake pads and adjusted the tension. For the first time since I owned the car, the brake will keep it from rolling down the driveway.
