    Crazikyle's 1st Gen Build Thread

Might consider that if O2 sensors don't work. Aint no way I'm replacing the cats when I'm going to be emissions exempt in 5 years anyways.

Oh hey, I'm back again with some updates. Finally replaced the AC condenser. Pretty easy job all things considered. Pulled the headlights and grille, then removed the front brace with the horn and airbag sensor. Was able to wiggle the old one out and the new one in without touching the radiator...

    Headliner question

It's personal preference. I like having a headliner, so I went all out and made a custom starlight headliner in mine.

    Interior Dash Paint Repair

Well, its just the airbag cover so it should be an easily replaceable part. If I were in your position I'd check my local junkyards for one. You might get lucky and find one in a matching color for cheap. I've had decent luck at junkyards for replacement parts.

Did some more work on the X today, added some ambient lighting to the interior. Pretty nifty project, took the afternoon to do and I'm happy with the results. Little $25 kit off amazon did all this, I'll see how long it lasts.

Hmm, figured I may as well update y'all here. Drove to Maine back in May and my fan clutch seized up. It's amazing how loud those can be. I replaced that, and then when I was cleaning it noticed I was somehow missing two lug nut on my front right wheel. Scary stuff. Took it to a shop to do that...

Where's the best place for 2000 3.3 Xterra Parts?

I like going to my local Pull-a-part. Granted, the parts are used and they may not have what you need on the yard, but their inventory cycles pretty frequently. On the other hand, parts are dirt cheap and you can get the hard to find online stuff. I've gotten numerous trim bits for my 04 that I...

    Custom Starlight Headliner

Yeah, that's pretty much what I used. I've heard people use toenail clippers, I don't know the name of what I used but it was essentially a more industrial set of toenail clippers. As for when it is off, there are a few noticable spots where something looks off, either from a fiber optic I...

    Custom Starlight Headliner

Hello everyone! I wanted to share my favorite mod I've ever done to my '04. A long time ago, I saw a Rolls-Royce with a starlight headliner, and have been in love with that ever since I saw it. I didn't think it was possible to do to a regular car, but after stumbling across a Youtube video of...

    Crazikyle's 1st Gen Build Thread

Oh my, I figure it's about time to bump this thread with some updates. It's been an interesting 2 years with the X. She's still chugging along, although it hasn't been all fine and dandy. I didn't do much to her between last post and this summer. I did remove the rear sway bar, and added some...

    Crazikyle's '95 Jzx90 Mark 2

After canceling my cross continent road trip this summer, I was getting antsy and had too much money burning a hole in my pocket so I went and blew it all on another car. Still love my X, but good lord is this thing a monster. 1JZ-GTE with a cold air intake and custom exhaust making almost...

    No Start Issue

Hey y'all, my '04 has finally died on me. It will no longer start. I've had this issue for a while where when I go turn the key to crank it, and nothing happens. It behaves as if it would start normally. The accessories lose power, the dash stays fully illuminated, the fuel pump whines, but...

The Greater Post Whore Society - Volume 6: Wash Your Hands On The Way Out

Was on a trail a few weeks ago when I came across this danger noodle. Had to slam on my brakes and skid to a stop to avoid squishing him. Even after that he had the audacity to rattle at me as if I hadn't just saved his life. Slither on little guy

Finally got around to getting something to hide/hold the one exposed wire going up to my light rack. I though I could just tuck it under the window molding, but it kept coming out. I didn't really want to tape or epoxy it in place since tape wouldn't last and epoxy would be too permanent. I...

The Greater Post Whore Society - Volume 6: Wash Your Hands On The Way Out

I took a promotion at work the other day and now I'm bored all the time. They promoted me, but don't have much for me to do. I don't even have logins for the computer and accounting/inventory software we use. I'm a glorified intern.

How To: Add Aux Input To Factory Radio

Thanks! I hope everything goes well for you. It blows my mind how much basic functionality some aftermarket headunits lack. Volume knob? Nope. Power button? Good luck. Input select button? Use our complicated touchscreen instead you fool. Only thing you might have issues with is the wiring. If...

    Crazikyle's 1st Gen Build Thread

Thanks a lot. I paid about $175 for the rear end work and it took them about an hour and a half. That included shackles and shocks. Shop I went to charged $115/hr for labor though, which I think is a little expensive. Shop around, especially now when shops are probably getting desperate for work...
