What have you done for your X?

Swapped out driver's side window regulator and motor assembly and replaced the Crankshaft position sensor this past week. Got an import direct 3 sensor from O'Reilly's while the OEM one is on the way from Amazon. I read on the reviews that the OEM part is new and improved with a metal sleeve...

    A Friendly Reminder

Hey Guys! Hope everyone is doing well during these tough times. I did my annual spring cleaning on the X today. For those of you battling the rust belt, I just wanted to give you all a friendly reminder to pull and clean under the rear door weather strips to prevent any rust issues down the...

    Led Headlights And Fogs

I read something about taking the front part off to get the lock ring to fit, not sure if Gen 1's have the same lock ring as Gen 2's. I think I'm gonna give these a try. BulbFacts claim these are the best LED's on the market for reflectors housings.

Looks good, how is the beam pattern and which LEDs did you go with? There's so many options, I have my eye on these:

Did Rock Auto send me the wrong inner tie rods twice?

Already received refund from RA, not bad considering the only way to contact them is email. @General_Tarfun I borrowed your picture in this post to prove they were the Titan Inners.

Did Rock Auto send me the wrong inner tie rods twice?

It really is! Price was worth the gamble though. Appears Hitachi put the incorrect labeling on their boxes. In turn messed up RA's inventory. For now, don't order Hitachi inners from RA.

Did Rock Auto send me the wrong inner tie rods twice?

Yeah the labeling on the Hitachi boxes are Xterra part numbers, but inside the box are Titan Inners. Makes a lot of sense if it's an error on Hitachi's end, considering there are multiple cases of this problem now.

Did Rock Auto send me the wrong inner tie rods twice?

Well I hate to report this, but RockAuto sent me the wrong Inner TR's. I could tell it was the wrong one by the size of the box and confirmed with a tape measure. @General_Tarfun warned me, but the price was worth the gamble. Napa has a 15% off deal going on, so I'm going to settle on their...

Did Rock Auto send me the wrong inner tie rods twice?

Well I just ordered these from RA. I know it's a gamble considering the errors made recently. Couldn't pass up the price and the fact that they'll be at my door in 4 days. Do you remember what size hose clamps were used for each side of the dust boot?

What have you done for your X?

It says OE, what's the difference between OE and OEM?

What have you done for your X?

Is Hitachi OEM? For $31, that's a steal. I guess I'll take my chances on these and confirm with you guys that they're Xterra length inners. I see RA has a listing for Nissan Inners for $120.

What have you done for your X?

I guess RockAuto has been sending Titan Inners which are longer instead of the Xterra length Inners. Have you purchased Inners from RA before?

What have you done for your X?

I gave the Outers a good shake last night to confirm, I was able to move it back and forth slightly to the point it would make a similar noise when steering. Just checked Courtesy, $120 each for OEM Inners, yikes! Where did you end up getting your Inners from? Edit: Found these on Fleabay...

What have you done for your X?

Well just over 100k miles, I think I have something going on with my tie rods. When parked, I hear a clunk and feel play when steering left to right. I happen to have unused Moog Greasable TR ends from a member on TNX. So I think I'll throw those on, although I hear the Moog tie rods don't hold...

    Brunnie's Build - Tonka

Thanks for the info. Notice any driveline vibrations with 2 inch lift in the back? I have my eye on this kit from Nisstec: http://nissteclifts.com/2-Spacer-AAL-Kit-With-UCAs-05-Xterra_p_479.html I noticed it comes with the axle shims. One last question LOL, did you install Cam bolts?

    Brunnie's Build - Tonka

What spacer are you running up front? and are you still running stock UCA's? With the AAL and Shackles on the lowest setting, how much lift did you get out of it in the back? Sorry for all of the questions lol.

    Brunnie's Build - Tonka

I like what you've done with your X so far! How are you liking the ride quality with the shackle/spacer lift and the 4600's? I myself don't do anything crazy off-road, eventually I would like to lift the X 1-2 inches for more clearance/aesthetics.

What have you done for your X?

Rolled over 100k last week. Oil change, tires rotated and had the underbody sprayed with Krown. Just in time as we're expecting 6-8 inches of snow today.

    Hello From Maine

Hey guys, I finally caught on with the situation over on TNX, it's too bad because that's where most of the info resides. I somehow came upon a post on TNX about this website so I figured I would join in on the fun! I bought my first Xterra(07') back in 2013, it was love at first sight! I sold...
