BCXterra, the “Jackal” build. ‘03, SE, SC, 5spd.

There was an old mine up silver peak, which I believe has had some recent prospecting work done, so between that and the logging it is in pretty good shape. Makes an awesome hike.

Got out for a nice local 4wd trip with the family. This was all within 20km of our house.

    Reaver's 03 XE Build thread!

I’m on 32’s with a pml and 2” and after running it lots this past year, have been very happy with it. Cranking in the front gave me just that little bit of extra room in the front to avoid a harsh ride and hitting bump stops while travelling at speed on FSR’s.

A nice little camping trip with my son this past weekend. 15km from my front door & 1450m elevation.

It’s funny you should ask that because I just sold them yesterday I’ve decided to go a slightly different route and to make some low profile rocker guards out of C channel going to save a fair bit of weight

    The Dumb Question Thread

This is a rear recovery point using 1 hole from the trailer hitch, and a second one that I added. Also used the stiffener plates inside of the frame. I was running this while I had my hitch off, but have since bought a trailer and put the hitch back on.

That blind spot mirror cane with the truck from the previous owner. And to be honest about it...I LOVE IT. I can back right up to my trailer hitch first try, parallel parking in tight spaces is a snap, and turning around on a tight trail is easy too. I was sceptical at first, but now I can’t...

BCXterra, the “Jackal” build. ‘03, SE, SC, 5spd.

Just finished putting in the HD tie rods and new tie rod ends all around. Very easy and straightforward, hand tools (19 & 22 mm spanners, pliers, hammer), took about 1:45hr just using hand tools from pulling in to shop to backing it out. In for an overdue alignment on Tuesday. Should have...

Proper End Link Length With 3" Lift?

Taking that sway bar off shouldn’t make a huge difference for you. On all of my previous trucks (Toyota’s 4Runner/PU’s) I pulled the front sway bar. And that included rolling up and down the sea to sky before it had its make over. Granted,I always ran a 4 cyl truck with 4.56 or lower...

How Grabby Can I Adjust The Parking Brake?

Out on a very very steep track yesterday, I had to use the parking brake for a hill start assist on my manual trans truck. Had a bit of rolling going on. It’s usually fine in normal situations, but this was steep. My question is, just how tight or grabby can I set my parking brake before any...

    Reaver's 03 XE Build thread!

I hear ya. Even though I have loads of clearance for most of the places and obstacles I have been lately, I still find myself trying to suck up my oil pan by sheer force of my mind!
