when I replaced my number 6 plug it consisted of me sitting on top of my engine with my hand crammed down the back of the engine. i will say be careful not to break the plug off because you cant see it. Also a garden hose will help with getting the new one back in

If the Xterra is an SE model at least then it has an extra plug under the hood for accessories. One is also at the rear of the car for trailer hitches. I'm not sure where it leads but it's one of the added things with the trim model
