My buddy's 2001 seem having the same problem on the deflector as it has some movement last time he checked. There's where might the mystery noise his wife hearing lately. We'll take a look at it right after we finished installing the new brake kit and mud tires on his weekend toy truck project.

Good tips Jay. We'll check out a 2004 Xterra right after we finished installing the rack and tonneau cover on the other truck project for kayak mounts. The current owner mentioned about getting the carpet wet when it rains and is probably coming from the back.

Hey, all! Glad to found this community, showed up a couple of times on searches so I signed up. We're looking at a 2001 Xterra SE as next project. Need to get as much info first, I'll be lurking around.
