FedEx What an amazing pain in the proverbial........

I've been very upset with FedEx several times, but I will say somehow I got the local number to "the hub" or whatever, and those guys are better to talk to. They might not be able to fix it but they generally know what's going on better. I was nice to him but I let one know what I thought about...

    Reaver's 03 XE Build thread!

It's possible if they are very worn or have no grease they could make noises. I don't know 1st gens, but if it has inners and outers, make sure you check or replace both sets. Lot of times people forget inners if a vehicle has them. Badly worn outer rods will usually trash the inners if let go...

Rumor has it that the X will return.

The way "overland" or more quantifiable, the whole increasing interest in being active outdoors and exploring by vehicle has grown in popularity, I'd be surprised if someone at Nissan didn't notice and want to kick the rear end of whoever canned the Xterra. I mean they did a Frontier build as an...

    Reaver's 03 XE Build thread!

Congratulations man, you put a lot of effort into the search and I'm sure it will pay off. If you ever wander as far as Kentucky for an adventure let me know.

    Brakes driving me nuts.....

Thanks for the assistance and participation in the discussion everyone. If anyone remembers Paul Harvey, here is the rest of the story (and I hope it is the end of the story.....) I think the soft pedal is a combination of some air in the lines and me expecting too much out of them. The X...

    Roofrack limits and my conundrum

I know what you mean. I run a RTT also and I hate everything about it except the good nights sleep I can get in it. I say just set your sights on getting bulk off the roof. I've been looking at hardshell tents as well, and they look much nicer, set up quicker, and are slimmer but solve none...

    Welcome TNX Refugees!

I have nothing against ON, but after the revealing of the crap-posting behind members backs secret high school forum room, and seeing his emergency pleas for AG to hide it back, I can't say I really care if he does join us. Although one thread over there reveals ON and Mr. Bills already...

    Brakes driving me nuts.....

I appreciate that info but I got it memorized already. At this point doing it the way I'm supposed to equates with doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. My main problem is are my symptoms consistent with air in the lines or am I wasting time repeating that process...

    Brakes driving me nuts.....

Well bad news, I didn't get it fixed. I was able to go on my trip with a borrowed vehicle, which was my Dad's newer Frontier. (I now want a Frontier pretty bad, having a truck bed was pretty sweet.) Good news is the gadget does cycle the individual ABS motors, which is cool. You can trigger...

    Brakes driving me nuts.....

Good tips thanks. I ordered this which may do some of the "dealer only" stuff. On the X I'm not sure the auto bleed function works, but I think it will allow manually cycling the ABS motors individually. If it does not I may return it. I think I am going to try a "normal" bleed first thing...

    Brakes driving me nuts.....

Part venting part plea for ideas or backup on my suspicions. It was all supposed to be a simple swap of new brake pads and flush the fluid getting ready for a trip. Now my X seems fubar'ed. When I got done, with the engine running, pedal is soft and goes to the floor. It will build pressure...

To Sticker or not to Sticker - that's the Q

As a general rule for place stickers on the truck, I like my X to have been there. I've actually been asked that by people I've met on the road "have you/your truck been all those places?" and I can confidently say, yep. I also use my chuck box and odds and ends end up there, if the chuck box...

    Is it a real Off-Road?

That improperly listed trim level works both ways. My X was not advertised as a PRO-4X. And no I didn't fill them in on the difference. Look for the locker as others have said, it's the main attraction to the trim. But shop all trim levels.

    Star Citizen

Yeah my computer would crap itself if it tried to run that. I'd try it though if I had a gaming rig. I've watched some gameplay videos of it, looks neat, although I cant remember if it was that or No Mans Sky but the dog-fighting flight mechanics looked terrible in one of them. I played...

    Picking up a 2011 Pro4X

It's almost a running joke the 2011 is the best year. It was in production long enough to get all the major bugs sorted out, but before they moved production from TN to GA when the quality got dicey until they got in the groove at the new assembly line. I see a lot of them but never been...

    2011 lift options?

Lots of folks can't leave well enough alone. As mentioned, you do not have to axle swap to get a decent setup. If this is not a off road park toy, you can relax a bit. All stock 2nd Gen Xterra's can run 33" tires with the "melt mod" which is simply heating and reforming the wheel well liner out...

    TM-D710G 2m/440 APRS Mobile

I also run one and have a similar opinion of it. You won't get more features out of a single 2M/440 rig. Don't forget it's a cross band repeater as well.

$20. I texted it to a friend and his opinion was not worth more than $10 but a cool find.
