    ECXC 2021!

ECXC is a great time. In 2015 I took a leap of faith and drove 7 hours out there from Ohio to wheel my first event without knowing anyone. That was super out of character for me (I still can't believe I did it). What happened is I met some guys there who I consider my best friends today...

TGPWS 7: New Year. See if we can wash the stink off.

I suspect a $9 bottle of this would solve most peoples problems. Though, I prefer the marine version.

Snatch block v snatch ring - interesting video

I have both the regular bubba rope gatorjaw and the gatorjaw pro soft shackles. I don't think they make the regular/original ones anymore, which is fine because i like the pro better anyway. Those work fine. To me, it makes more sense to use one with less sheathing because you want the ring...

Snatch block v snatch ring - interesting video

I have a snatch ring - it works fantastic. Highly recommend if you run synthetic. And you don't need those silly rubber "fingers" on the factor55 ring.

    Titan engine swap.

oh Brennan did one legally in CA too - if it can be done there, it can be done anywhere.

    Titan engine swap.

Look up driven desire on fb. That's Brennan Becker's company - he's the main one behind all the VK56 swaps. I wish I did the vk56 swap when my engine blew, but I had some other big things going on in life at the same time. Didn't have the time to deal with it.

What welder to buy- under $1000

its over $300 to buy the cylinder if a shop will even sell it/refill customer owned bottles. otherwise you have to rent it. you can buy a 20lb co2 cylinder for less than $100 and get it filled for $20. That's 175 CF. So you can set up co2 for 1/3 the cost and refill for less than 1/5 the...

What welder to buy- under $1000

yes, that's the best, but it's just not practical for a dude in his garage. 100% co2 is almost as good - most people would never be able to tell the difference.

What welder to buy- under $1000

I have a hobart 190 - happy with it. Definitely get a 220V welder. Makes a huge difference. Also set up to run shielding gas, also makes a huge difference. Running straight co2 shielding gas makes the most sense for home hobby welding. Its a lot cheaper to get set up (bottle is 1/3 the...

Is there a bearing maker recommended for axle seal rplmt

oh, do one side at a time and lift that end of the axle tube up higher so diff fluid doesn't run out. Also, you don't really need a slide hammer. I used a pry bar to get it out easily. I've also seen people use an old rotor as the slide hammer. pry bar method was easy though, just don't pry...

Is there a bearing maker recommended for axle seal rplmt

dana/spicer for the collar/bearing retainer, timken bearings (skf and koyo are good too), and national seals if you can. It's not too bad to do it yourself. It's also not very hard to get the splines to line up. Not sure which rear axle you have, but there is a nice writeup on thx for the...

TGPWS 7: New Year. See if we can wash the stink off.

I was just about to say, I’ve only eaten one Brussels sprout that I liked - it was also seared in bacon grease and topped with bacon.

    NMO dilemma/Dumb Question

Here it is. I can get a measurement if you want. Use a step bit for this so the hole stays round. If you use a regular bit it will likely end up not round, and possibly not flat either. Sheet metal is a b to drill into cleanly. I mounted mine under the cup holders against the center...

    NMO dilemma/Dumb Question

I was going to do the same thing and found the same issue. I ended up mounting it about 6" in front of the very rear cargo area lamp. I could get it there without dropping the entire liner. let me see if i can find pics.
