I had to pull the sleeves from my OE spring and move them to the alcans. And that was easy.
The factory shackle pin was frozen in this bushing. It took everything I had and a pair of 440 Channellock pliers to rotate it in the bushing. After drilling the old bushing like that, this basically slid out of the bushing.

@TerryD that completely explains why the Alcan's didn't come with bolt sleeves in the rear bushings! I was really confused today. The hanger side had a sleeve. But the shackle side didn't. I completely forgot that the factory setup had an expanded thing that made the sleeve irrelevant. I installed PRG shackles like 5 years ago. And I forgot all about it.

You young bucks just wait, it only gets worse. Throw a failed back surgery on top of it, and getting out of bed to take a piss requires a second thought.
Dude that sucks. 37 years of farm living and industrial maintenance has already taken a toll. I'm on my way to a knee replacement in my 40s I'd imagine and hopefully I can get that done before it takes out a hip.

Started work on the 2005 rat Buick this weekend. As no one recalls, I bought it for $500 from my landlord, after my 94 year old neighbor died. She quit driving it two years before she died (care taker did start it) but it sat in her garage three years after her death not being started while her estate sorted itself out. Then outside under a tree for a year. I finally got it titled, in my name, so i felt safe to work on it. Problem is, the rats, believing they owned it, ate the plug wires, shiat those wires into the ignition control module, then finding themselves hungry again, ate various other wires. Then shiat THOSE wires elsewhere. So I spent the weekend trying to clean and figure out what I gots. But, I did get a look at the real mileage for the first time. 234340565_10215288775851573_7025246957172027421_n.jpg241835869_6046180605452972_8080244372704803981_n.jpg132372827_231792645176908_3996132339028013739_n.jpg241992154_10215417560391106_5390424084976115867_n.jpg
